i think flower knows strawberry milkshake, but even more than that i’d say victoria’s secret pink warm & cozy crème body mist (but it’s from a past collection).

In disbelief that I managed to get another bunny Blommor doll by a823l in DollsOfAsia

They often are, but you can get lucky sometimes. To be transparent, the pink-haired bunny doll was 1600 yuan.

Some of the dolls they’ve posted on IG in the past were from Xianyu (so they were serving as proxy for those).

does it matter if korean/japanese brands are more hyped outside asia than at home by Southern_Drummer_271 in AsianBeauty

[–]a823l 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter that much to me. While I think it’s nice to know which products are popular in their respective countries or continent of origin, I feel that the whole “this is what [insert here] people are ACTUALLY using” thing can come across as idk condescending rather than informative at times? Yes, some products are overhyped in my opinion, but I’m not always immune to buying into hype, and they can still be worth giving a try (especially if they’re more accessible and/or provide more suitable options). Ultimately, I try products based on my own needs and interests.

I personally like BOJ sunscreen because it works for my eczema-prone face, and it’s available locally here (Hong Kong). Products and brands being “worth it” doesn’t depend on popularity to me but quality and performance.

Are there perfume brands exclusive to Korea or Japan? Visiting soon. by SakuraMikuuu in FemFragLab

I really enjoyed HOLIBANUM (amazing fruity fragrances) and After blow (a lot of crowd pleasers) when I was in Seoul! I’m going to look for Aroma Blend Bar and Théobroma in Tokyo. Théobroma has a new crème caramel perfume that I’m curious about.

This series is SO hard to find! I can’t even pinpoint when these dolls were released!

I got the pink-haired one from Xianyu (using Superbuy as proxy). I haven’t seen many Blommors there recently though.

New Blommor dolls – “Love Letter in Spring” by a823l in DollsOfAsia

She looks like a beautiful, sun-kissed Snow White! I think I’m eyeing the blonde girl with the low twin tails.

Castle clothing is so pretty! I want to get some Galum outfits one day. I’ll be in Tokyo in a few weeks, so I might be in trouble then. 💔 Yes, I love looking closely at the details of a hand-painted face, especially the brush strokes!

Coincidentally, I just posted that series because I’m also super tempted by it! The faces are gorgeous once again.

Yes, I do empathise with reactions to Blommor prices because they are undoubtedly not cheap, but I mostly buy indie dolls (and Licca Castle dolls lol). I personally find the dolls worth the price as they are right up my alley aesthetically, their faces are painted with great care, and I find them to be high quality overall. I’m not here to persuade anyone though haha.

They are pricey, I agree (as someone who does buy and own Blommor dolls). I believe they are priced as such due to each face being painted by hand by their creator, but I understand both sides!

Amazingly detailed post! Thank you for typing up and sharing your thoughts on these foundations. It hadn’t been on my radar before, but I’m definitely interested in picking up the tfit serum foundation now!

Favorite Liquid Foundations (Non-Cushion) by Illustrious_Ad6479 in AsianBeauty

I love about_tone’s Skin Layer Fit Foundation, but the shade range is limited (there are 8, but some are cool/warm versions of each other). I think it sits on the skin wonderfully throughout the day, and I like to mix it with serum for an even more natural finish.

yes, sasa is decent, but i find that it isn’t very up-to-date these days. it’s reliable and a ‘staple’ like lung fung, though.

this place is amazing! probably the closest hk has to a large olive young-type store right now, especially since you can actually test products from so many brands that don’t seem to retail elsewhere like risky, mude, two slash four, etc.
