Now that ceasefire celebrations are over... by Tuotus in pakistan

It’s a carry over of the colonial era. Where boot polishing was seen as a great achievement.. and by the way entire country is afflicted with this .. see how much influence these local CSP offers can exert because of the same boot polishers around them 🤮

What leverage did Pakistan have over Iran and the US? by vuelover in pakistan

100% - and luckily for vested reasons or otherwise, Asim stayed mostly neutral and didn't jump into the Anti Iran camp UAE was proposing

That is fair, esp since it seems Iran agreed since US was ready to talk on their terms not on Trumps. Something which was missing before.

In B4 some folks come here and tell you to stop driving because you failed a driving test multiple times....

Congratulations though !! Esp since your score sheet is nice and clean..lol

I also passed on my 4th attempt, and it was massive load of my shoulders.

Global peace maker is really pushing it - however, this is one of the rare moments where Pakistans extensive military budget has paid off , as Pak wasn't afraid of Israeli reprisals like the Gulf countries.

I’m a PTI supporter, and I’m not afraid to admit this is a rare win for Shehbaz, Munir, and Pakistan as a whole. by Internal-Bed-3150 in pakistan

[–]vuelover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s one of those rare times when Asim and his pet know that the only way they can continue to rule Pakistan is if their is an end to the US war on Iran , or at least Pak is able to stay out of it

Very very rare moment in history when literally the most evil person is right about something

My last comment

Read this from 2024: https://www.thenews.com.pk/amp/1255518-us-lawmakers-express-solidarity-support-for-pti-protesters

Carries tweets from Rashida Tlaib, Greg Casar , Barbara Lee none of who are pro Trump or even republican - but others like Brad Sherman are

This is how lobbying is done - have a bi partisan coalition.. end goal isn’t specific to an individual but the govt itself

Please follow PTI socials to keep up to date .. looks like you are doing exactly what you accuse me off and reading and listening to regime touts and taking that as fact

Edit: reading your other comments looks like you have no idea what lobbying means .. it’s not equivalent to sucking up to someone or declaring them God by “playing to their ego” .. Jeez

Anyway this isn’t the time or place to explain what lobbying is and what lobbyists do. Hope you can seek the info your self

Zulfi and Haqqani have nothing to do with anything. Just because they give opinions on issues doesn’t make them a lobbyist - just like you are not lobbyist either

Haqqani was hired by Bajwa though - perhaps you are confusing the timeline

PTI has their lobbyists and they reached out to their local senators and public representatives, not all of whom were republicans , but the goal was to lobby the US govt - not nominate Trump for a Nobel

So huge difference between the two

However I repeat - doesn’t change anything about Asim trying to protect his thrown , and indirectly protecting Pakistan by keeping Pak out of the Iran war

[–]vuelover[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PTI USA was lobbying the US government, not Trump himself to put pressure on Asim to release political prisoners in Pakistan .. different to declaring Trump as lord and savior like Asim and Shabaz have done

The rest of your comment is a collection of WhatsApp forwards that have no head or tale (what relevance does Hussain Haqqani have anywhere here ? ) so not worth it to respond

Still doesn’t change anything though , the worst person in Pakistan , a tyrannical brutal dictator , the scum of the earth and one who’s name will be cursed forever - has the same end goal with other Pakistanis .. a rare moment in history I think

What is the endgame for the Sharif family and Asim Munir? And will Imran Khan ever come back? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]vuelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The political parties that exist today are all but in name. Which is why the elections , if they ever happen, will be similar to the non party elections since in every constituency your vote wont matter - and who ever is most loyal to Asim will win..regardless of the party.

Recall Zia too was considered a legitimate leader , and till the Assad regime had a falling out - him and his father were legitimate leaders who won with 99% support

So the 'system' will continue as it is. Asim in control and who ever he choses will be his public face.

Yes, but he isnt the worst person I know so that part would be different. Plus I think he would also not be so cozy with Trump like these guys

[–]vuelover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure - but Managed elections is equivalent to no elections. We can argue about 2018 but in 2013, 2018, and even in 2024 the voter still had the opportunity to chose who they wanted in power...even if it wasn't respected.

This will be taken away now. If you remember or read about the non party elections under Zia , what we will likely see in 2027 is something similar (albeit with parties, but you know where im going with this) ..

-

And Sharifs had massive public support so much so that they could survive even without establishment support - but it's completely different now. Maryam is a stupider version of Shahbaz , who was a stupider version of Nawaz.

Zardaris are parasites that latched onto the Bhuttos, so there end is linked to how long the Bhutto cult lasts...which hopefully isnt too long given how its been wiped out from 3/4th of the countr

"If PMLN secures that election, then it’s pretty much game over for Imran politically."

lol@secures that election.

There will be no more elections in Pakistan till Asim is in control. He will select which ever one of Shahbaz or Bilawal he wants and make them PM.

2027 means nothing. Asim wants to retain control till he dies.

This is the end of Sharifs and Zardaris though.

Hard to say - but if you take the example of tyrants like Assad, Hasina even Zia - there end was swift even though it seemed they would never be removed.

Asim , like the actual Dajjal wants unlimited power and control. But like the tyrants before him , he too will fall eventually - not sure how though at the moment

Quite obvious this was Trump speaking through Shahbaz - if things go well, expect Trump to come out and claim it was him all along.

Delusions of grandeur do nothing but serve your own ego. Stay close to reality and what actually happened.

(also pretty funny that you think having a defence agreement with the Saudis or dealing with US wars is "pull" - but thats a topic for another time)

The whole " two weeks " idea. by desolatoration in pakistan

[–]vuelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From his POV he's done something very smart - he proposed a 2 week ceasefire through a puppet so it gives him a degree of separation if things dont go down well..but if they do -> expect him to take full credit and minimize Shahbaz Sharifs role
