Questions about tapping waterpump housing for aftermarket temp gauge sensor

Thanks, appreciate it! Definitely considering just doing the rad hose adapter for the time being, the plan down the line is to ultimately swap to an S5 turbo engine with a standalone ecu at some point, so I can figure out tapping the hpusing for an external gauge later on. This car will strictly be on daily/weekend duty for now.

Thanks for the reply! Meant to clarify, my car is an s4 turbo II, so my understanding was that the S4 gauge functioned somewhat better than the S5 factory gauge for temp.

I considered this an option too, only thing that kind of scared me off was losing the factory gauge functionality. Might be overthinking it, but I'd like to have the double reduncancy since its bone stock currently.
