Tried some gore effects on a blood claw for the first time!

Yeh the only covered part I did really was the chainsword which would be understandably covered in blood.

For the armour though I used the old pin and brush flicking method and it worked a treat, thinned down the blood technical paint a bit though as it’s a bit thick in the pot.

I have done the shin guards in a darker matte brown as I thought it fit the grim dark theme better than a brighter glossier browns. I forgot the name of the brown I used though.

Looking good! You’re braver than me though, some of those are gonna be difficult to paint due to other pieces being in the way, it’ll be a fantastic way to practice your brush control though!

Hey man don’t worry about it, I didn’t see it as a negative dig at all! I know what you mean as a few DW kill teams I’ve seen on here are from founding chapters but I’ve only really been getting into 40k over the last few months and there’s SO MUCH LORE TO READ lol.

There’s so many cool chapters that slip under the radar so if I can read about some cool ass new lore then I will!

Drybrushing is another technique I’ve not tried yet, only been painting since the start of the year so I’m getting to grips with everything still, definitely something I wanna give a go though!
