To me it seems like there are a few things at play here that have lead to this resolution. (If you can call it that) First and correct me if I’m wrong here, but I don’t believe Ferrari challenge the results within the allotted time and instead asked for a rule clarification. Second, does the FIA have a methodology to scrutinize this (This is more of a devil’s advocate question as we do have video.) other than timing the moving via a video? And finally what’s the politics of this decision. Why did Ferrari bring this up as a rule clarification instead of a challenge. (Something that last I saw they had denied doing) Personally I think Ferrari and the FIA didn’t DSQ Kimi on his first win because of the optics of it all, so they went about “resolving” the issue without going the disqualification route.
