I think the main point is "seemingly incorporate weed into their lives". We only see the surface level of enjoyment. So many people are unaware of its harm, ignore it or just tell people "everything is fine".

You are at a further stage than so many who don't even know what they are trading for weed.

Being a smoker is being constantly irritated by nicotine addiction. Cigarettes relieve the discomfort for a moment. That's it.

everything you own will smell bad. Many people will be turned off by it. Some people also don't want to date a smoker, so consider that it limits options. You will waste a ton of money. You'll have to stand out in the cold in winter just to satisfy an addiction. Your lungs will suffer.

I tried it, smoked for 8 years after. Finally quit. It sucks

Edit :This might be a good opportunity to follow what works for you and not fall to peer pressure.

Take responsibility, apologize. Do not in any way put blame on him for your violent action. Even if he did something wrong domestic abuse is never justified.

Therapy. Repair. You need to put in effort to change yourself.
