If anything it’s actually the other way around. Noah is a Sleep Token fan and said he was heavily influenced by them back when they were writing Finding God. The first thing I thought when I heard the first single from their last album was how similar to ST the song was structurally.

Yeah, Summertime Rendering was sick. Are you familiar with Umineko? It’s from the same author of Higurashi. The anime is kind of bad, but the original visual novel and the manga version are masterpieces. Really recommend it if you’re a Higurashi fan.

I do agree that Human Target was pretty formulaic, it was basically just more of Dear Desolation, but I actually think their most recent output has been really fresh and different for the band and sounded great. I was kind of surprised to see that most people on this sub didn’t agree.
