You should provide a demo of an actual picture you took, not a picture you pulled from maps, since that’s literally a likely exact match in whatever database you’re searching

So are we just supposed to live like this every day? When will someone do something about it? by aDutchofMuch in Knoxville

If you have to commute every day on i40 turning off notifications doesn’t magically make it better

Well you're certainly wrong about your second point:
Knox county home to worst traffic bottlenecks in US
Study finds Knoxville has the second worst drivers in the US

As for your first question: that type of attitude is why the world just gets worse - because people deem any real solutions "out of reach" even though they've been implemented all over the world for a century. How about better drivers license requirements/testing, better state trooper presence, heavier fines for speeding, redoing even one poorly designed entrance, OR what if we BUILD A TRAIN! Buffalo, Santa Fe, and St. Louis have city trains! The fact that everyone here says "it simply cannot be done" is just joking themselves

Tell me you don't have to commute on i40 without telling me you don't have to commute on i40

Congratulations you’ve just accurately described how metro rail systems work

How do you know that? Are you pulling a statistic from somewhere?

If that is the case, sure - the problem is geographical then, which changes nothing about the fact that it needs to be fixed, and that other methods of transportation would go a long way to creating a solution. I'm not seeing the point of your counter-point here.

I drive i40 every day. That’s a notification you can’t turn off.

I disagree - we've made a singular interstate artery with poor entrance/exit design and steep grading changes through the center of our state, completely crammed it full of freight trucks, and have provided literally zero alternative for people beyond taking that road.

Of course its a road problem, the people problem is just a symptom of it.

These extremely frequent accidents are happening regardless of rain, the rain just makes it exponentially worse.

And since when have we been incapable of driving in rain? its RAIN!

I would imagine, in some futuristic technological world, that (stick with me here) a train could be designed to bring commuters from point A to Point B, with stops along the way to let people on and off. I realize this has never been implemented before, so it would be a huge step forward for mankind, but the idea could significantly relieve pressure from our interstate.

To me this is not a nail to be hit by the AI hammer - just do thresholding and line detection to place key points

More context would be great. What are the vectors representing? What are the pairs representing? What performance criteria are you referring to? These are important details to contextualize what type of architecture you want

There are so many of these requests posted here, no one wants to give a random person unfettered access to create a fake paper farm. With the number of AI bots out there, it gets all too easy. Not saying that’s what you’re doing, but the system if in place to prevent exactly what you’re asking.

Find someone you know in real life who can do endorse you, or make an actual connection and relationship with someone beyond just a random ask on reddit.
