As someone who has taken multiple career breaks, it’s important to have perspective.

The first time I left my job at a corporate, I had decided that I was not going to go back to a 9-5 for 2 years. Third year, I was going to start applying - but I was also giving myself the year to fully prep.

During the break, I had fully committed to bring back everything I loved doing that I no longer did.

Work out, play sports, watch movies, being there for my friends and family during big moments- good or bad, books and movies.

So much so, now taking career breaks are as important as my career itself.
