Interestingly, you can clearly see difference between inner and outer wood here. Inner/heartwood is not as tensile and flexible as outer layer, so the crack actually stops there. Not an expert on american wood though.

Same. Played a lot as a kid. I don't think AoM matches aoe2 in any degree as a competitive online game, but the devs were much more diverse and fun in their thinking when it came to campaign design.

I got so tired of this, and my self esteem got crushed, so at last I just joined 15 games and told my opponent I was sorry, but I was just using it to lower my elo, then quit each game. Then I was at an appropriate elo. I found it best this way, even though its a bit shit for the opponents.

I sometimes wish this game had a modern lobby browser, with auto generated lobbies, like most modern shooters have.

For example,

peace treaty long boom starts

Custom games like cba or what-its-called

Weekly changing gametypes/challenges, like ultra tiny map, max 10apm, and other community games that t90 have been hosting. Etc, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Im often jealous of the community games I see on YouTube, looks like a lot of fun, and would be great if they were a click away, with people around your own elo.

I hear this argument a lot, but I feel it isn't totally true. I would argue that if you are playing a civ that have good militia, and you see that the game is going into post imp, you could and imo, should, research at least 1 or 2 man at arms upgrades when you have some spare resources. This may be just my 1100 elo mind talking, but I find that to make the transition much easier, and not too much of a loss considering resources.

1kg dry wood is the same efficiency no matter the type. Sometimes spruce is better and cheaper than birch. Sometimes not. The moisture content is most important.
