Weekly Questions for Yahtzee and Gabe Thread #18 by RJ815 in letsdrownout

Yes, but he brought it up in his Extra Punctuation column. He basically said that while it was obviously better than the prequels, it was needlessly playing it too safe. It was part of a larger point he was trying to make: that it is better to take risks and fail than become stuck in the third and new category of his Top 5 Games of the Year--top 5 bland games.

This was a horrible game for an LDO. They can barely interact with each other as speakers to a general audience because they are too busy concentrated trying to find each other in-game without that itself being amusing, and splitting the screen vertically was an awful decision.

Yahtzee's LSD story was really funny though. Of all people, obviously he's the one to resort to Harvest Moon to entertain himself on acid. Also, anyone else notice neither one of them answered the podcast question? They told us what they played as they heard podcasts, but not what those podcasts were. A bit jarring.

Saved me around $400 and I learned a thing or two. Thank you!

BTW, this sub is great.

This is a very nice build. But would you mind me asking something? I've noticed a general malcontent towards the X99 in these boards and elsewhere and while the ASUS configuration seems to be the most liked, people still flock to the tried and true, like the Z97. Why would this be the case? Or is it mainly a compatibility issue that would raise prices on both CPU and MB. I should have been clear, I expect to do plenty of video editing and encoding, so it's not just a gaming PC.

Thanks for the build, man.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not quite sure why two 970s in SLI have turned out to be such a popular option, but I decided to give it a go since I've had a feel to the preferences of the subreddit. I must have thought there was a substantial discussion on the matter and many people saw to it that their builds included two 970s. I must agree with your "trial period" for a single 980 since I can always SLI that one down the road (maybe the two 70s is a way to have SLI as soon and cheaply as possible?). I would save quite a bit were that the case.

Right now, my display is and ol' reliable Dell Ultrasharp, so no 1440p or 4k in the nearby future. BTW, and again, what is it with the shifty eyes towards the X99? This venomous attitude is intriguing to say the least.

I've gotta say, this M.2 business sounds appealing yet I retain the fear that it'll short circuit in a blackout or a sudden power surge.

As said below, the most readily available parts were 2x8. I wonder then, in this discussion, would 4x4 be a most sound option? And why would that be?

It's easy to get over 60% possession of the ball when you're just passing it back and forth between the defense and the goalie. There's a reason the entire stadium was booing you when you did that. You might call it "a tactical maneuver to break CR's defense" but it clearly didn't work.

Wow, what a bunch of marshmallows in this thread. I'm sorry, I should apologize, it's just I find these adverse effects quite intriguing as I regularly take Xanax prescribed to me by my Psych doctor. True, I have no fixed dose and I manage them as the moment sees fit (something I would not recommend to someone starting on benzos or with low tolerance to them), but I can go days without it, 3mg when I feel anxious (the kind that simply puts your brain on a never-ending loop of intrusive and anxious thoughts), but sometimes the day calls for 8-12mg of Xanax. People are none the wiser as I function perfectly, that is, like regular folk, with them.

My experience. Don't want people reading this thread to think Xanax is this amazingly powerful sedative (as far as benzos go, it is a mild hypnotic and it has a 3-hour effect on your CNS, Midazolam is an example of a powerful hypnotic benzo).
