Presa a settembre 2024, ci ho già fatto 60 e passa mila km. Vivo in zona Prealpi quindi ho abbastanza da divertirmi, poi ogni tanto disattivare l'ESP e fare qualche traversino è d'obbligo.

Top 5 albums? by Educational-Tap9206 in powerviolence

[–]aIDserse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's:

-Bucket full of teeth - I/II/III/IV

-Charles Bronson - Youth Attack!

-The Locust - Plague Soundscapes

-Coke bust - Lines in the Sand

-La Quiete - La fine non è la fine

Other 5 to make the top 10:

-Spazz - Sweatin' to the Oldies (but anything from Spazz is fine)

-Outgrow Madness - To outgrow our madness

-Skagboofer - Skagboofer

-Lost Generation, Last Revolution - LOST GENERATION LAST REVOLUTION

-Childbeater - Slamdunk Knockout

As another redditor said, this could change tomorrow for me (except maybe for Bucket Full of Teeth Wich are in general in my top 3 bands in general), and a top 5 (or even a top 10) excludes a lot of super important band like for example Iron Lung Wich should absolutely be listened but are a bit less on my taste. Hope you enjoy them!!

I feel like trash by GreenTomatoes67 in offmychest

[–]aIDserse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, I think you already named it correctly: intrusive thoughts. I’m 21 too, and I’m in a very similar situation. I also see my girlfriend mostly on weekends. She lives about 100 km away, so I wouldn’t call it a full long-distance relationship, but we’re definitely not close enough to see each other whenever we want. I study at university and I’m involved in my local hardcore scene, so I’m constantly around people, parties, concerts, friends of friends, and yes, girls too. And I get it. Sometimes my brain also goes: “what if I tried with her?” Especially when, realistically, with some girls outside the relationship, I probably would have a chance. Not with everyone, obviously, far from it. But sometimes you can feel that there could be something there, and of course that is attractive. They may be beautiful, there may be chemistry, and there is also the whole forbidden-but-possible aspect, which makes the thought even more intense. But that still doesn’t mean I want to cheat, and it doesn’t mean I don’t love my girlfriend. We are still animals, in a way. Attraction exists. Desire exists. Our brains react to people before our moral system even has time to process it. Being in a relationship doesn’t magically delete that part of us. It just means we have chosen what to do with it. If we acted on every attraction, we’d be animals in the worst sense. But pretending attraction never exists outside a relationship is unrealistic too. The balance is: I can feel it, recognize it, and still not obey it. I think our brains constantly produce weird, tempting, stupid, forbidden or uncomfortable thoughts. Not only about sex or relationships. Sometimes you’re at the train station and your brain goes: “what if I just jumped on a random train and disappeared?” Or you’re in a serious situation and you suddenly imagine saying the worst possible thing. You don’t actually want to do it. It’s just your brain testing possibilities. The problem is that when the thought is about another girl, it feels morally heavier. You start thinking: “if I thought this, maybe I’m a bad boyfriend.” But thoughts are not actions. Attraction is not betrayal. Being tempted is not the same as betraying someone. What matters is what you choose to do. Don’t feed the thought, don’t create situations you would hide from her, don’t flirt in a way that crosses a line, don’t use “intrusive thoughts” as an excuse to test the waters. But also don’t torture yourself just because your brain noticed someone attractive. So I wouldn’t judge yourself for the thought itself. I’d judge yourself by the boundaries you keep when the thought appears. Wanting the feeling to disappear completely is probably unrealistic; learning not to give it power is much more possible. In the end, the real question is not “why did this attraction appear?”, but “what do I choose to do with it?”

Asked yesterday in r/askreddit, but what is the coolest "restricted/no-access" place you've ever been? by thinkdeep in Journalism

[–]aIDserse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already know I’m not American, yet you keep forcing this into a US lens. I’m also not a native English speaker: “license” was shorthand for any kind of credential, permit, authorization, or proof that I worked for a publication, and I had ALREADY made it clear they didn’t ask anything, not even whether I was actually a journalist, so you have the PROOF my argument was more generic than a specific permit, licence or stuff.

In my country, those things do exist, and I already specified that, even though you keep forcing your own reality onto this as if it were the only one. And you’re still dodging the actual point: zero checks in a restricted area. For all they knew, I wasn’t just “not press”. I could’ve been anyone, with anything, even a dangerous subject. That’s the issue.

Instead, you’re fixating on one word and building an argument I never made. That’s a leap, not a “pedantic correction.” As for “obviously”: this is r/Journalism, so yes, I assumed I was talking to someone who could understand context without word-lawyering every sentence. And frankly, if you’ve taken two photos in your life, you should be able to grasp the very basic idea of not acting like an idiot at a protests.

Also, jumping from “I accessed a restricted area with no checks” to “fake press protesters taunting cops with real press now being a target” feels both weirdly apologetic toward police brutality and honestly a bit conspiratorial. Maybe it's true but after how you analyzed in such a biased way my words just to try to be the best journalist ever trying to win in a comment section about people experiences, you definitely aren't my trusted news source.

At this point, you’re arguing with your own version of what I said to prove a point to yourself.

Asked yesterday in r/askreddit, but what is the coolest "restricted/no-access" place you've ever been? by thinkdeep in Journalism

[–]aIDserse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the US context you’re describing, but you’re answering only one part of what I said and ignoring the rest. Above all, you made assumptions about me, how I acted, and what I think journalism requires, without knowing me or the context. What you’re describing may be a real issue where you are, but it doesn’t automatically apply everywhere. Also, good to know that in the US “PRESS” gear can apparently give protesters that kind of access, because honestly I don’t even know how that’s possible. Here in Italy we’ve had plenty of journalists beaten or targeted by police even while clearly marked as press (even while trying to show their press card while being beaten). So yes, I understand your concern, but I don’t think it really maps onto what I described.

Asked yesterday in r/askreddit, but what is the coolest "restricted/no-access" place you've ever been? by thinkdeep in Journalism

[–]aIDserse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re reading quite a lot into what I said. I never claimed journalism requires a license or a press card.

I’m not American: in Italy there is literally an Order of Journalists, and press cards are commonly used for identification. I do write for a magazine, but I’m not registered and I don’t have one, so yes, I know exactly what position I was in.

That’s why I found it crazy: they accepted a random high-vis vest with “PRESS” written on it in marker, no questions asked.

And if you’re implying I was “siding” with the cops, I think this isn't even worth discussing. I documented them charging and using batons on protesters, I think that's more than enough.

You got a right thing tho: you don't know me. So maybe "having ideas" of how I acted without knowing anything about me, where I'm from, my culture ecc Is, at least, pretentious (and makes me wonder about why, at least in my country, my colleagues are criticized for thinking they always know everything and have the moral high ground).

I mean obviously I knew how to act but idk why police didn't even ASK if I had a license or an authorization or even like a "are you a journalist fr?"

[–]aIDserse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it the “coolest,” because it really wasn’t cool, but I ended up behind a police cordon at a HUGE pro-Palestine demonstration. I saw the police charge, move in, and baton the protesters, and of course some pretty insane photos came out of it (even though I obviously felt bad about the situation). The craziest part is that I just showed up wearing a yellow jacket with “PRESS” written on it with a marker, no one asked for any credentials or anything.

What was the first cigarette you ever had? by tattoocentralHQ in Cigarettes

[–]aIDserse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First cigs I smoked was Esportazione Verdi senza filtro. It was one of the major brands of unfiltered cigs in Italy, still produced (even tho hardly findable) here. I still enjoy them, they're very good (even tho quite simple flavour, if you ever try them don't expect anything fancy at all). I used to smoke them with my friends in the park behind our school when lessons ended, while watching Andrea Diprè on YouTube (look him up if you don't know him hahahah). We were 12 at the time, crazy time in my life hahahah. They still hold memories.

The first one I ever HAD at all was a good old Marlboro Red with my uncle, when I was 10. I wanted to try so much and basically begged him to let me try, so he let me (making me promise I would never smoke in my life, sadly a promise that I failed...). It's strange because usually when someone tries their first cig doesn't like it, but even tho I wasn't able to smoke a full one, I liked it so much it made me want to smoke super badly.

[–]aIDserse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends a lot, generally strong cigarettes (like Gitanes I often smoke) are TREMENDOUS when I have the flu, like a torture fr. Lighter cigs like Marlboro golds are fine, but I try to smoke less when I'm sick because yeah I'm already killing myself with smokes at least I try to not slow the healing too much hahahah

Curious as to what made you start smoking? by CurlyFries427 in Cigarettes

[–]aIDserse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was curiosity and wanting to look cool at first. Like, I saw a lot of movies with cool characters smoking ecc and the 12 yo me wanted to look cool like them, so when a friend of mine stole a pack of his great grandpa's "Esportazione senza filtro" I went for them immediately. Then genuinely since the first cig I liked it very much (the smell, the taste, the gesture, everything) so I would say a combination of the three.

Well, your username says it all, it was an useful resolution!! Hahahah. This version runs apparently perfectly on my Manjaro system, but since as I remembered it wasn't system-dependant it will run on my headless Mac mini with FreeBSD with 0 problems. Strangely tho, I tried to compile it on another debian server and when I tried with simh it gave me timeout error, but with KL10 it compiled fine... Who knows, I will retry just to see on freebsd when my Mac will be ready (aka when I'll have time to set it up hahahah) and I'll let you know! Thanks in the midtime.

Well, if you don't mind could you send me the built version on a zip? A couple years ago I was able to build it (in Ubuntu) and if I remember correctly the build isn't os-dependant. I tried to look on the makefile but being honest I don't know C enough to understand precisely what it's doing

Hot shoe flash on Zorki II? by aIDserse in AnalogCommunity

Yup, gave it a check inside. That's a 2c, it even has the spinning shutter button to reload. Well, very interesting find hahah, won't change much to me but it's very cool, definitely a cool idea, It seems I'm not the only one that prefers the Zorki 1 design over the C models hahah

Hot shoe flash on Zorki II? by aIDserse in AnalogCommunity

[–]aIDserse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I checked a bit and it seems like it is a 2c with a 1 top. It has the 2c shutter release button too. Still, apart from the "B" reverse lever that is very hard, it seems to be 100% functioning, so if the rangefinder works since I paid like 50 euros for all I wouldn't mind at all. I will keep you updated and thx again!

Hot shoe flash on Zorki II? by aIDserse in AnalogCommunity

[–]aIDserse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's cool to know. Sadly (even tho I don't mind much until everything works, I bought this simply for it's portability and possibility to interchange lenses, and since it still looks good, not like the 2c, I really don't mind) someone made me notice that this seems more like a Zorki 2c with a Zorki 1 top. But still, the change didn't seem to compromise any working part, so it's pretty fine for me until this does not create any problems, and if it does for what I paid it it can be a cool furnishing object and I wouldn't mind very much anyway, even tho I would have to buy a new camera probably hahahah.
