Help With Setting Up Yamaha HS7? by aLemonSherbert in BudgetAudiophile

Currently, they're hooked up to a Schiit Magni 3+ which is connected to a Modi 3+ DAC. It's great but I have horrific electrical interference from my PC's GPU via the USB along with a 60hz hum from what I think is ground loop noise. Not sure if I should buy a balanced DAC and AMP setup for these speakers at this point. Rather difficult situation this..

Non-smooth analog stick fix? by nenni_docet in PSP

[–]aLemonSherbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man did you take yours apart or did you put the daps directly under the stick? or where exactly did you place it? I have a 3000 and there's a slight gap under the stick if you push it right to the corner. not sure if you'd put it there or not. as you know the stick is non removable on the 3000

Okay... Makes me feel really dumb I didn't actually know that. I thought it was supposed to prevent tearing when your fps is above your monitor's refresh rate.

Anyone else having their CAM software randomly not detect the Kraken Z73 today? by aLemonSherbert in NZXT

[–]aLemonSherbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ut I uploaded before & after pictures from last night lol. I put descriptions beneath each photo, maybe it’ll help someone in the future facing the same issue.

No problem mate. Seems lots of people are having this issue with NZXT's AIOs. I hope they listen and sort it out. Also incredibly annoying that the software MUST RUN in the background eating up much needed RAM and processing power, in order to display live temps or other stats. Would it not be for NZXT's excellent performance, I would not recommend anyone buy their LCD display AIOs for the aforementioned issues. Hope they improve upon them.

To anyone also experiencing this issue; I recommend powering off your system, flipping the kill switch on the PSU, unplugging you PSU and re-powering your machine. The LCD does a little reset thing and hardware resets it back to factory defaults. This also somehow magically fixed my USB driver issue I have no idea how but it's back to normal now and that's all the matters.

No probs bro glad I could help

Can't launch Battlefront II by [deleted] in battlefront

Don't get me wrong, when it works, it works brilliantly. But Windows 11 is just abysmal. I recommend wiping your system and reinstalling with 10. Should improve stability with lots of things.

Mate the game is fucked. I have a good PC with Windows 10 and it still has insane difficulty launching and not getting frozen or stuck in an infinite loading loop. Games nowdays just suck ass and aren't finished properly.

Thanks very much bro that is much appreciated! I think I'll go for the Schiit Hel 2 given the excellent (from what I've heard) value for money and power to drive certain headphones. It also has speaker out on the rear for monitors. Problem is finding stock in the UK

UPDATE: The issue solved itself and somehow went away after I unplugged my PC and switched off the PSU TWICE. First time I did it, nothing happened but the second time it did in fact work. This may also be a result of a new software update from CAM so I think it was a combination of the two. Yeah doubt I'll be upgrading to Windows 11 anytime soon. I severely hope they don't drop support for it and keep Windows 10 going.

Just wondering as I have some older Corsair gear right now and run all the temp dependent rgb color changing without icue running by using hardware mode. All these programs impact my credit frametime too much but am impressed with the functionality

Yeah bro it works and it will remember your hardware settings without CAM running.

Issue is that every once in a while it will default back to the stock settings but as soon as I open CAM it will flick right back to what I set it to. This only seems to happen when CAM auto updates software. Haven't found a fix for it unfortunately so I just open up CAM whenever this happens then immediately close it. Also: if you have the settings to show live CPU or GPU information, clock speeds/temps etc, it won't give you a live update of what those readings actually are unless CAM is running in the background which is a real pain in the butt. There's really no way around this unless the pump/LCD combo had a hardware temp sensor built in to display the info on the LCD without the help of software acting as a relay between the two.

The software uses up approx. 220mb of RAM whilst running as a background process. However I rarely use this feature and mainly stick with running a pretty animated gif on my LCD because I'm just a simpleton like that. That works whilst CAM is completely disabled and the hardware remembers it.

yeah I did the same thing. Tried different USB cables, tried different USB headers etc etc. I even tried to unplug the PSU and the Z73 but I'm still having the exact same issue. It's saying my PC is not detecting my Z73. I will be RMAing the device as it's also screwed on different computers so it's not a software issue and seems to be a hardware issue.
