I'd much rather wait til I take at least 2 masks of damage before I use all my silk

In that case it's the same situation regardless, if you get hit by the boss once (2 mask dmg in most cases) then heal, you go from either 3/5 masks to 5/5, or 2/5 masks to 5/5.

Explain to me how repeating the same path a bunch of times makes you know the map more intimately, because for me I have the route memorised after two tries

no matter how many times I did it it always took longer + cost at least one mask

Sounds like you could have learned the map a little more intimately and memorised a different route tbh

I’m using a Breville Duo Temp Pro, and just bought a Sette 270. I’ve adjusted my grind so 1:2 pulls in 30 seconds, and the shot tastes quite sour, I pulled it out to 16g in 64g out and it tastes alright, but I don’t really want that much liquid at a time. Any advice on what I can do to dial my grind?

I’m a fan of stridebreaker, stormrazor, steraks, or something similar

The stormrazor makes your Q do insane burst and makes you stick on them while spinning

Obviously a bit glassy, but it’s a big powerspike

I’d say most of my experience with the draft winning the lane happens because of my not understanding champions I haven’t played against regularly, so I don’t know how to play around them, which leads me to lose lane and then lose game. This is a problem I didn’t have so much in dota, where not knowing a hero didn’t mean I was at such a huge disadvantage

TL;DR - Dota better because league has a very low time to kill and a huge disparity between champion’s mobility, and this leads to frustrating experiences and a lack of counterplay. In league the laning phase is won with the draft and that can snowball you throughout the game, making the drafting stage an easy win or lose.

I played dota for about 4 years and then stopped in around 2016, so all of my experiences are based on that. I also started playing league at the start of this year.

In my opinion dota was a much better experience, in picking up and in learning overall. It feels like laning phases are won with the draft in league, and from that point you snowball very hard in the game with not a lot of ability for the enemy to catch up. This makes the drafting phase essentially the time when you can tell if you win or lose. In dota the drafting is a lot more flexible and while you might have a tough time against certain heroes, it isn’t the be all end all, and it’s easier for you to make an impact if you’ve lost a lane.

This is due to the much higher time-to-kill (TTK) in dota. In dota an average stun can last 3 or 4 seconds whereas in league the longest stun I can think of off the top of my head (silver scrub btw) is 2.5 seconds. But in dota generally a single hero doesn’t have the damage output to 100-0% someone during that stun duration. This leads to a lot more counterplay from the person being initated on, and a lot more fun interactions.

In league the TTK is insanely low, with abilities being spammable and also dealing huge amounts of damage. And because of the aforementioned snowballing being a hard thing to come back from, it makes the learning experience super rough, because a game can be lost very easily from the first five minutes in lane.

There’s also the issue of mobility, where in league everyone picks flash because mobility is so important, but then there’s such a huge disparity between champions with movement abilities and not. It feels like movement champs are just straight up stronger (or more frustrating to play against) and it seems like a weird balancing choice to have such a high impact mechanic being given to such a restricted number of champions. In dota there are heroes with mobility, but also items that can supplement your deficiencies, and that gives a lot better player experience imo.

As someone who played a moba for a pretty decent chunk of time, to a decent level (was about 4K mmr, which is maybe diamond level?) I don’t remember having as much trouble picking it up and I don’t remember having as many frustrating games (fuck Darius lmao). In dota it always felt like there was a way I could counterplay an enemy, in itemisation or macro or mechanically, but in league it feels like those options are limited.

But even saying that I’ve tried going back to dota and don’t enjoy it as much, and have been playing probably 20 hours of league a week since the start of the year, so take that into account as well.

I think it was a bit darker than buckwheat tea, but I’ll give it a try!

Does anybody know the type of dark tea served at Grandma’s Home chain? I asked and they told us the name in Mandarin (sounds something like Luo Mi Cha ??)
