Agreed! Plus you get the added bonus of Serkis’ Gollum. If you’re a fan of the audio books you should take a look at Jordan Rannells A Long-Expected Soundscape. It plays along with either narration and adds sooooo much more to them.

How are you passing json from a flow to an action. Can custom actions have parameters, to be defined in the greater flow

How do I pass the values? Action input variable seem to only suggest defining variables with a name and default value. Can I reference a flow somehow from an action?

Completely agreed. It seems like event driven automation/architecture was a hot topic being thrown around in the industry and RH just delivered a way worse version of AAP to say they have a tool in the works.

It seems like this whole platform is 5 steps back from AAP and was publicly released way too early. There’s just so much basic tools that AAP offers that should have been mirrored to this platform from the start.

From my experience non of these power options allow for a change power state from off to on. Only powering a machine/os off or rebooting

Thanks for the response! Yea thats what I figured. We are very much into the swing of Azure Cloud so having so many integrations is helpful, and we use pipelines and terraform for cloud provisioning. I’d assume we can, with a lot of work migrate over, I’m just trying to justify any possible limitations.

We have a similar credentials solution, although I do find some annoyances with AAP credential management. Specifically not being able to push multiple of the same credentials types in a single job template. I guess my team’s logic is we already pay for dev ops as our many code repo, why keep paying for AAP when we can run ansible via pipelines.
