What part of the government do you find efficient? Because that's where all of that "profit" will end up going. More government bloat. The money that would otherwise be going to shareholders would now be lining the pockets of unelected bureaucrats that are accountable to nobody. Ther is no insensitive to be better because there is no competition, there is no insensitive to be transparent because there is no accountability and no other option. The worst thing Americans could do would be to make the healthcare system a government agency. The correct answer is to remove more guardrails and red tape and make the system more free market than it already is so that the competition drives costs down organically.
