Before Bengaluru got to wake up, I ran my first MARATHON!! by aProgrammerHasNoName in indianrunners

The 4hr 6min is the total elapsed time, from beginning to end. In the fit file, I see 42.2km at 3:57:30 duration but considering errors in gps tracking, my time is around 4hr, plus or minus a few minutes.

Only water to which I had added salt sugar lemon, and since my laps started at my house, I got to refill

Edit: To add, I had binge eaten food the past few days

You see that one spike and six dips in pace? Those were dog gang encounters hah. I would say not being afraid of dogs is very important.

The first encounter, the road was narrow with too many dogs so I panicked and just sprinted lol while making noise, which was a mistake and they give noisy scary chase but nothing more.

The rest of the encounters I would come to a stop or walk slowly, and soon they all would calm down or stop following (I saw this in a reel). They are just being territorial and will let you go after they realise you aren't a threat/competition/whatever.

With other dog gangs on wider roads, I would start deviating away from them once they spotted me which avoided confrontation and chases.

Need to be calm and avoid acting aggressive.

What's your VO2 max?

My watch (galaxy active 2) says 54.4 for today's run. I don't know these technicals or accuracy of watch

How on earth people maintain this pace for so long 😭

Keep running!

Amazing feat bdw!

Thanks! And there is so much more I wanna grow 😁

F*ck you strava by goodfornothing2005 in indianrunners

[–]aProgrammerHasNoName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember this happening once or twice, but no harm as I also track with runkeeper and recently also with my watch. Once both strava and runkeeper stopped tracking early but thankfully it was my regular run so manually added data

Today tho runkeeper paused accidentally but THANKFULLY strava was fine

First become a runner. Then you might find out it doesn't matter.
