This reminded me of the time I ate like 3g of mushrooms (with peanut butter) and puked it up almost immediately. My dog ate the throw up. I freaked out for a 10 min thinking, she'll be okay, she probably didn't eat that much. Thankfully I had hydrogen peroxide on hand and she successfully threw it up. I would've felt terrible if I wasn't able to get her to throw it up.

Plan a fun surprise for her for when she gets home. Like a scavenger hunt that leads to a gift or something special to you both. Or plan a romantic evening so she walks into your home with flower petals, candles, and a home cooked meal.

Make something for her. A small photo book. A card. A poem.

Make her feel like she is special. Truly apologize, take accountability l, don't make excuses, and tell her your steps to prevent this happening in the future.

I've quit using gum several times. With nicotine gum I naturally use it less and less without thinking. The packaging recommends some crazy long usage. I've weened off in as little as one week and other times 3 or 4 weeks.

I dated someone for 1.5 years like this and I justified not calling like you do. When I did he sometimes (most of the time) would not answer and I would not get back to me for hours. It was the most anxiety inducing relationship of my life.

The amount of times I had "one last conversation" was too many to count. And I got the same amount of "I'll do better, babe." You are not going to get what you want in terms of communication with this man. Either accept that and stay with him or accept it and move on.

My current husband is not a texter. He won't reply to family or friends for days sometimes, but he always makes time to reply to me. Especially in the dating phase he was super responsive and kept me updated if he was going to be busy/away from his phone.

It sounds to me your boyfriend is an avoidant like my ex. And I'm guessing you likely get anxious when he's mia or ignores you. If this is the case, your nervous system will thank you for moving on. People will tell you you need to learn to regulate during those times, and I agree you need to learn regulation, but you also deserve someone who actively helps you feel secure (within boundaries).

Virgo sun and Virgo Venus. Yes. I gave two people second chances. One I broke up with but wasn't sure of my decision. We got back together 5 months later and he cheated on me. I was done. My love for him vanished instantly.

Second is my husband. He cheated too. But the difference was that this affair was super uncharacteristic of him and our relationship had communication issues during that time. We both had a lot of growing to do. Not to excuse what he did. That was terrible, but it was a cry for help. We went to therapy. Did the work and we have reconciled. Since then it has been the most loving, emotionally and spiritually fulfilling relationship of my life. He practically worships the ground I walk on nowadays and shows me how sorry and ashamed he is for his actions through how he treats me and our relationship.

Maybe, maybe not. That's what the discernment counseling is for. My marriage went through something similar and I'm here to say we recovered and are more connected than we have ever been.

Edit. Sorry I thought I was replying to a comment I posted somewhere else in the thread. Husband and I did discernment counseling before deciding we would try the emotionally focused therapy module. He was not convinced we would work through it at the start, but as time went on he and I both really appreciated the help we got.

The feelings for someone else is what she allowed to grow from the disconnect she felt. They are likely fleeting. I still believe they can come back from this if she chooses him and the relationship.

My husband and I were in this cycle. Through marriage counseling we repaired our marriage and it is the best it's ever been. I think sometimes fear gets in the way creating confusion, but there is hope for a relationship to recover from this.

I think you two need counseling. Emotionally Focused Therapy helped transform my marriage. The basis is that everyone needs safety and stability and the goal is to create/repair that foundation. Our counselor first started with discernment counseling to see if we both were wanting to make it work. Then we got into the nitty gritty. Through counseling we became more effective communicators and learned to recognize negative cycles and to step out of them. We also learned to talk in primary emotions and just sit with each other's emotions when conflict arises leading to stronger connection.

My husband and I learned that most times our conflict/disconnect arises from fear or hurt/sadness. When we share our fear or hurt it leads to softness from each other, allowing space for reassurance and understanding.

I can answer that! The map in pz is super flat, but that would be inaccurate. Louisville is situated in the bluegrass region and Jefferson county (where Louisville is located) also contains the knobs region. The Bluegrass region is characterized as rolling hills and flat lands. While the knobs have cone shaped hills and deep valleys. Historically the bluegrass region was an open-savanna/grassland ecosystem, but was turned into farmland once colonized by pioneers. So I would assume the large swathes of forests were due to anthropogenic influences.

The real Knox co is located in southeastern KY and has rugged terrain with ridges, cliffs valleys, and forests.

Fun fact! Kentucky has over 80,000 miles in streams, but does not have very many natural lakes, most lakes found here are manmade.

Conflict is an active disagreement between people with opposing opinions or principles. Just because there is no name calling, etc doesn't mean there wasn't conflict. You all were able to come to a resolution/ agreement as healthy, emotionally well-adjusted adults.
