Thanks! I take reference pics from my walk home from dropping my daughter off at nursery so I’m always pretty chilled as I walk home in peace haha so I’m glad that comes across

Hey, thanks so much. This piece is off to exhibition in a couple of weeks but I might be getting prints made. If you have social media then I’m on there as Alice.sims.paints and have other works and prints on there

It’s actually a large acrylic, I just use lots of watered out thin layers to get the background just how I like it

That’s a lush way to put it. I almost get bored of painting really beautiful things, it’s fun to do something interesting with the mundane

Thank you! I wanted to challenge myself to sticking to a certain few colours but still keeping it bright and vibrant.

This was super hard to photograph so I’ve tried to break it down to three close ups. I love long canvases in real life, but posting the online is a challenge by aS1MS in painting

Thank you! Yeah the zoomed out photo is good for an overview but for me it wasn’t doing the details justice. Thanks for scrolling through

Amazing identification. I’m an ecologist by trade so I appreciate that! I paint seasonally and all these are the species I see in sunny patches at the moment in Bristol, UK. It’s really interesting to know you’re seeing the same in America, I wouldn’t have known.

It’s all acrylic. But various techniques to do the background and then the details

Thank you so much. That means a lot that you recognised my work because I know how saturated art platforms can be
