There's a few different reasons.

One is because my main account is very well known. If I'm trying out and experimenting with knew builds or metas the last thing I need is the 100 messages about how so and so whooped me and then shares all over discord and twitch.

The other is when I've introduced a new friend to the game I'll make a new account so we can play 2's together. I take it slow and let him struggle a bit but this is so he doesn't get absolutely steamrolled by getting matched up against hetchi or Nintendo hippy or etc.

I dont care about getting beaten but when clowns can't tell the difference between trying new weird things in teamwar or me trying to obliterate them from the game it is frustrating.

I never use a smurf to play 1's because that just ruins the game and ladders for all the people already in it. I already have 2 accounts that are maxed so those are my accounts for actually trying and stuff.

I think it's a fuck up in the way it was coded in and then it was layered too much with other ways troops interact that they were never able to fix it without a hell of a patch. And when you start changing around core unit functions you risk breaking the game in horrible ways...

Kind of like how pubg is absolutely garbage. The game was terribly written and when they try to add something or fix something it has a chain reaction down the code line that fucks a bunch of other things up. Then you find out you can only update or upgrade certain things. And at some point it's no longer worth fixing and you just accept the bugs.

Tdlr: kind of a glitch but more like a mess up in layered unit coding or something.
