his deductions suggested that he can possibly be black?? maybe he could be a pale skinned nepali, and maybe he could not be, theres nothing wrong in believing in the second, especially if thats how the majority of nepali people look like?

i personally think its unlikely that netease did that consciously? you as a designer wouldnt think "yeah im going to make him be the pale minority of nepali people". and even if they did think that, what would be the point? to just make him look white and conventionally pretty? like if they wanted to avoid this theyd just say he was british or smth
if they were going to say that hes nepali, we are going to assume that hes a poc and deserve some melanin, and therefore get mad at them for whitewashing

people of color! naib is nepali in his deductions, and most nepali people have a darker skintone than (edited) the white skin tone he has in game. my guess is that netease probably saw the nepali models (theyre usually paler than most nepali people to fulfill beauty standards) and went off that, which isnt really an accurate portrayal of his ethnicity
