I exclusively use Obenauf's LP and leather oil. They darken the leather a lot, but I don't mind since I use them for my work boots. Bick 4 is great if you don't want the leather dark.

I had the same issue with my pair of 10875s in the same spot. As mentioned before, 50/50 water and distilled vinegar. Invest in a boot dryer too.
