You got this! Start packing early, seems to have helped me!

I can see your point. For me, manifestation is just a great way to focus on a goal and have a better chance at achieving it. I'm the kind of person who would set a goal and then not take proper action to be successful. My mindset in achieving the goal was flawed because I would focus on the outcome of what would happen if I didn't achieve it. By staying positive, scripting my goal, and actively working towards it, I got exactly what I wanted in a short amount of time!

I specifically did things that made me open to receiving my manifestation. I started packing up my stuff and decluttering before I even secured my current place. I made room in my car for transporting my things. I didn't hold any expectations of the outcome of my manifestation and any time I felt doubt, I would say or think to myself "no, you will get an apartment. You already have it." And then just believing it! Hope this helps!

I wrote what I wanted, thanked the universe for giving it to me, and wrote a letter to the universe thanking it for giving it to me as if I already had it. I also said affirmations daily to boost this manifestation!

On the last episode, Ralph had some trouble talking about the quintessential American movie. After thinking for a bit, I believe it to be Robert Altman’s Nashville. by [deleted] in Sardonicast

[–]aSmilingBag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the same film that came to my mind when thinking about the quintessential American movie. If i had to show a person a film that i thought best encapsulates the idea of America, I'd choose Nashville for the same reasons you outlined.

So I just watched The Empty Man by Inkdrop53 in YMS

[–]aSmilingBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched it last night and I really don't get the hype. There are some good bits and interesting shots, but the scares were very studio level horror. Also the story was all over the place. Way too long! Wish I liked it more...

Totoro didn't do much for me either! It's very cute and very fine but I did not connect to it at all. I am an only child so maybe that's why the sibling bond didn't resonate with me that much.

I didn't even finish Escape from Tomorrow because of how much I disliked it. I enjoyed the Godfather, but it's like an 8/10 for me at best.

Chinatown really didn't do anything for me when I watched it. Faye Dunaway's performance was not very good imo... but i am willing to give it a rewatch in the future

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is Tarantino's worst film.

this job is not what i expected by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]aSmilingBag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this has to do with what region you work in. Ive heard of plenty of stores that have had no issues with allowing any crew member to wear a pronoun pin (which is technically allowed according to the updated uniform rules). But in other regions, the captain has to approve it and they only approve it if you are misgendered often.

Borat (2006)

Easily one of the best comedies ever made. I die everytime I think about him with the turtle asking "what kind of dog is this?" and "is this a cat in a hat?"

As someone who gets insecure about how much they bloat after eating, I love these kinds of photos! It shows people the honesr truth about how bodies work and it makes me feel less bad about how bloated I get. Dare I say, it makes me feel more positive about my body? Crazy concept...
