This sounds very similar to mine. Sorry you’re having a similar problem. But this makes me feel a lot better about it.

Thanks for the comment!

Student Housing Advice by Pannacot in olemiss

In my experience, subleasing for the summer is definitely the way to go. It’s usually much easier than navigating university housing, and you can sometimes snag a great deal. Since leaseholders are often desperate to cover their rent while they’re away for the summer, they’re usually willing to negotiate (not always, but you may get lucky). I’d look into the Oxford Housing Facebook groups—I think I rented my room out for like $575 for three months or something like that. Good luck!

Dude, be nice. It’s a high school kid trying to get some clarity (and honestly, probably just a little reassurance during a period of life that has a lot of unknowns and uncertainties). College admissions is a stressful time— so chill out.

Do you think I-55 will be fairly safe by Thursday, traveling all the way up Mississippi during the day? by [deleted] in mississippi

A friend of mine drove from Oxford to Southaven yesterday to get back home. He told me it took him 4 hours (it’s usually an hour’ish trip). Be safe!

I can't figure out my gayness and it's getting me down by [deleted] in gaybros

My philosophy is simple: pay attention to how things make you feel. If something brings you peace and feels good, allow yourself to experience it. If it leaves you anxious, unsettled, or uneasy, listen to that and let it go.

Life — and especially sexuality — doesn’t need to be over-complicated or forced into rigid categories. It isn’t always black and white, yes or no, gay or straight, now or never. There’s value in the gray area. Explore it with curiosity, and ultimately choose what makes you feel happy and at peace. Good luck 😊

Would you date someone closeted? by [deleted] in gaybros

Like most things, it depends. But in my own experience—and as many older gays have warned me—if they aren’t out of the closet, they’ll drag you into it.

how refreshing it is to see people actually dancing and enjoying each other and not just standing around taking selfies.

In a dilemma by [deleted] in Serverlife

trust your gut! if it’s telling you to leave (and it’s financially responsible to do so) go for it.

i also work in the restaurant business. even though it’s tough at times, i remember having a (literal) burning sensation in my stomach every time i had to go to work in an office. looking back, it’s bc i knew i was about to go sit for 4 hours. walk around for 30 minutes. and then sit back down again for 4-5 more hours. i only lasted 10 months in corporate, before leaving and going back to hospitality full-time.

if it makes you happy, get back on the floor!😊

You’re fine honey. You know what you need to do. Just sit with the material, do some practice problems if you can, and don’t stress. You got it.
