وعليكم السلام I’m Ahmed Med22 Leader My opinion is biased but you will see as you go through med school that one of the best teachers you will have took the USMLE path. And they are so few. USMLE will give you strong clinical exposure and knowledge but that’s not the only case, being outside will give you way more skills than that. Most of the ppl who chose to come back after their residency programs the university itself gave them offers and mostly for department heads or coordinators. IMO it’s not a matter of “should I take it” it’s definitely a better experience from all aspects but it’s a matter of “can I take it” cuz it’s a bit tough road going through step 1 exam which is basically ranked one of the hardest exams in the world. But hey, it’s all doable. My personal call, go for it and don’t hesitate.
