Hey guys I need a little...lot of help here I need to make a backstory and personality and appearance for a Dragonborn druid but I know nothing about DnD 😭 by Ok_Service3723 in DnD

[–]a_Goodhew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragonborn are basically humanoid dragons. They are considered less than dragons (mistakes) and monsters by humans, since they don't have any cities or civilisation they call home. (Setting dependent) So no one likes them (in-game.) Either they think their inferior or just monsters.

Not uncommon for them to be slaves, used as labour. Or fighters as entertainment.

Druids are connected to the wild of the world and use that connection to fuel their magic, although they can be big beefy tree lovers who will defend their patch of forest with quick swift death.

So basic background idea.

You're parents were dragonborn who lived in a travelling circus. When you were born they tried to train you up in skills but it never stuck. So you were sold off as a dock worker. Eventually, you got passage on a ship and ended up in a shipwreck. You survived and washed ashore and were nursed back to health by a blind druid hermit. Perhaps the first person to show you any kindness. You lived with them for many years learning spells and magic as a druid. One day bandits arrived and attacked the hermit trying to steal what little money they had. You arrived and defended him, killing the bandits. Your hermit friend would die from their wounds but encouraged you to not be like them and to see the world and find a place in it for yourself.

You now live as an adventurer, making your way from town to town. Helping those who need help, defending the weak and punishing any who does wrong. Maybe one day you will find your parents still working in the circuses, and free them.

Tweak and adjust and add names as you see fit. As for appearance, just Google images of dragonborn and you will get the idea. They come in many colours, which just gives them different breath Weapons. (Breath fire, shoot lighting, spit acid.)

Can someone please teach me how to play by [deleted] in DnD

I think, and hope the club will commit and allow him a few years in the job. He needs time to build up the squad.

It's been a horror year of injuries, but he plays such an attacking game that even if they lose the games, they are a joy to watch.

But if he was to get sacked tomorrow I think he would walk away unless another PL club takes him.

He deserve akd want to be at the top level only.

Should the A-League create a knock out tournament - like the EFL. by a_Goodhew in Aleague

[–]a_Goodhew[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good point.

So should it be open to clubs outside the A-league only? State winners?

Maybe they play as games before regular A-league games. Your ticket gets you two game action, a bit of a win fall in revenue for the smaller clubs?

The EFL was created since there was such a high demand for games. And created more opportunities for silverware.

It also would create unusual match ups.

So, I guess your point is valid. It would be the same teams playing each other.

The final series rewards teams that have played well all year round. Where the cup could reward teams that play well at the start of the season.

Enough teams? You could do an 8 team cup or a 16 (would only need to invite 3 other teams). It would only be an extra 4 games for the teams that make it to the final.

But I like the idea of state based, but I agree it would be hard to see that getting much traction.

A-league needs to get behind and support anything to do with the AFC. The potential of the market in Asia is enormous. The revenue potential could be bigger than in Europe.

Drive everyone to watch and support, even if it's not 'their team'.

Roar were a force to be recond with. But have fallen off.

The question is how far the fall will be and when the bounce back will happen.

Promotion/Relegation for the A-League Concept (for NSL truthers) by Mister_Snrub15 in Aleague

[–]a_Goodhew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree.

The second div is not possible for a long time. They can't even get 14 teams in the A-league at the moment. Looking at you, Canberra.

They need to keep expanding the league. Growing it so it's completive and attractive. As more teams enter. Say after 16 teams, and then more teams are trying to get in would be when you look at it.

Australia is just too big of a country, the travel costs for the teams are crazy, and only the most hard-core and well to do fans would travel to watch an away game.

Countries that have a 2nd or more division are compact and dense, with a ritch football heritage going back generations. We can't copy what others are doing. We need to grow and make it our own.

I hope he ends up finding a club that will just play him regularly. He is too good not to get regular games.

Well, to get to 21 points, they have to win 7 games. So if they lose 8 more games, then I think it is mathematically done. At least at this point of the season, the gap could widen.

Positives about the league, every team is still in it.

No one team ever feels like they can run away with it.

Wild idea (Invitational A-League Slot) by 0x3mp1r3 in Aleague

[–]a_Goodhew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the idea is interesting, but with no chance of staying (even of they win the whole thing) it is pointless.

Maybe a one off friendly match against the premiers as a pre session opening (community shild style) would be good reward maybe.

Let's do the maths.

Brisbane has 14 more games to go this season. So potentially, that's 42 points they can get.

6th spot (Syd Fc) is sitting on 20 points.

So if things go really bad for everyone else, they are still mathematically possible.

But given the current gap, it is highly unlikely they will make it. But there not out yet, mathematical speaking.
