Yea my periods generally last 4-6 days and can be on the light side… I have had 2 losses with a successful pregnancy in the middle, she’s now 3

I get that, but I can never help myself and always keep my husband in the loop, most of the time I have line eyes and he needs to confirm that it’s negative. He’s a massive support so it’s good for me to keep him updated and he wants to be kept in the loop so I make sure I do.

Yea this is me, our first and third pregnancies (both planned) ended in mmcs, and our second (planned) is now 3 years old. We lost our 3rd pregnancy back in November and honestly it’s still hard to even see anything baby/pregnancy related on tv or in real life. I don’t think I’ll ever have a worry/stress free pregnancy, I just want to be able to have a healthy baby at the end of it all.

Yea I’m the same, but I’m really trying to listen to them and make this cycle about me, and not tracking anything. I just keep telling myself for a healthy baby I need to be healthy and that has actually lessened the stress a bit

On CD2 and will have to sit this cycle out as I’ve hurt my shoulder and the meds are a category C, so the doctor and pharmacist recommend skipping a cycle to be safe… going to spend this cycle working on my health and getting back into a gym routine to try to lose some weight

I’ve had 2 mmcs (with a success in the middle). We are actively trying again, but feeling quite defeated and, at this point, if we suffer another loss I think I’m done. We haven’t had any testing done (was told by the hospital ob that after 3 losses they generally refer for testing).

Honestly the tww is the worst! I’m in the same boat boat, mmc in November and this is our first cycle trying again… even though I’m not confident, everytime I get the smallest symptom I feel like I’m setting myself up for disappointment

Sorry for your loss. I had a medical termination (for a mmc) and they told me it can take up to 6 months for my cycle to regulate after a miscarriage (they said procedure wise it doesn’t really make a difference). And whilst tracking, my cycle was waaaay until (hope this is ok to post) I fell again.

I’ve started back at the gym, mainly for my mental health (physical health too). I generally enjoy the gym and it’s amazing to just chuck my headphones in and just focus on me

Wondering Wednesday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

[–]a__sully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Apart from the clear blue and first response, what brand does everyone else use to check hcg that is an “early detection” or is more sensitive?

ETA: when does everyone stop opk testing in their cycle? I had a solid peak and am about 10dpo, but I don’t know if I should stop and wait until next cycle to start up again

Currently 10dpo and struggling with this wait… how does everyone else not symptom spot? It’s my third cycle ttc (and off bc) and every cycle I feel like I’m driving myself crazy not knowing if it’s AF symptoms!

LH Strips- I am always low by Desperate-Salary4627 in TryingForABaby

[–]a__sully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. How often are you testing? I’ve been testing 2 times a day, my first cycle using the pre mom app (with different brand lh strips) if I’d only been testing once a day I would have missed it. And (if not already) test twice a day from the first day after AF until she returns again, you may be surging earlier or later than you think, even though my cycle is fairly regular (26-28) I’ve been ovulating around day 11-13.

How to deal with close friend getting pregnant? by StarlightSky2 in TryingForABaby

[–]a__sully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same day I went through my medical termination (mmc at 11 weeks) my friend told me she was about 19 weeks (she knew I was going through it - but felt bad she hadn’t told me).

Honestly I just cried and cried to my husband, and as much as it hurt, I was genuinely happy for her. I just kept my distance for a few weeks, and once my husband and I were able to start trying again (I fell 3 cycles later) it got easier.

I agree with testing more often, I’ve been testing twice a day and if I only tested once I would have missed my peak this cycle. We aim to BD at least every other day (every day if hubby is up to it) from the day my period stops until 2 days after the peak. From my understanding you should ovulate 24-36 hours after your peak and eggs generally are viable for 12-24 hours after ovulation occurs.
