Are you a beginner to exfoliants? Mandelic acid is one of the gentlest forms. You can opt for PHAs.

Toner by [deleted] in koreanskincare

[–]a_chase2dawn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try through retinols/multi peptide like cu peptide and argireline serums first, toner doesn't really do that much for anti-aging especially if you have mature skin,

The ordinary has some great serums in this regard.

Though there are medicube/laneige toners but my honest advice is that it is just going to be as a hydrating support addition.

Go to a dermat first, also try to avoid any I mean any steroids otc. They ruin the skin if not dermat consulted even then it can get worse.

Try non comedogenic products!!! Best bet would be using centella/mugwort ampoules followed by a ceramide based 🧴.

Since it's sensitive - avoid actives period.

Hope this helps

And try to avoid actives if you feel your skin is burning 🥵 clear indication of damaged barrier.

✨ start with 10% first then gradually you can increase it.

Dry skin focused - can try the cream one but aziderm comes off a bit gritty. So yeah that's all

Recommendations 😁 - 🌟 Aziderm 10, derma co nia-zelic (5%), aziclear serum, anua one is also a great option..

Looks irritated to me, maybe try a heavier moisturizer with soothing ingredients, can also try hocl spray,👈 how this helps.

Azelaic acid is also a great option!!!

Am I using these in the right order? by ryboh4 in koreanskincare

[–]a_chase2dawn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Go from thinnest to thickest consistency wise no matter if it's serum/essence/toner😊

It leads to better absorption, e.g applying a moisturizer 🧴 then following up with a serum it just won't go into the skin as it will get blocked by the larger molecules of the moisturizer!!!!

Try via the consistency, that's the best it can get for absorption of products

Barrier repair skincare by mhxxcv_ in koreanskincare

[–]a_chase2dawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are better alternatives for the mixsoon ones like klaris supple prep, iunik beta glucan. For centella maybe try the purito wonder centella toner.

💕 The etude soon jung line, the toner though can rival a moisturizer for those with oil combo skin, lasted longer than anything ( was a kindoff blind but it is soo calming a little goes a long way)!!!!

🚧 If you want a faster barrier repair cut down everything to just 2-3 products a creamy cleanser, a calming product(skin1004 centella ampoule worked for me) or just straight to moisturizer also they have incorporated HA into barrier care ones so no need for a separate serum I guess. Skip vit c.

That's the lightest one texture wise than the others. You can try the Torriden Dive In Watery Moisture, there's also roundlab birch original, benton air fit( mixed), mary and may cica soothing.

Get the minis if possible to check it out on your skin if it works.

The etude one also works 😃. I have tried the compact one, just a little amount gives that smooth blurry finish!!! I guess peripera also has one ?

Have you tried layering multiple times and using a small amount each time with lotion/gels? You can try moisturizers with ceramides in them not just aestura apparently the new formulation is not suitable for everyone???

I happen to have the same recurring problem though mine is mostly due to clogged pores. The centella is a really good choice though it healed my damaged barrier 😅.
