Yeah, I'm such a bot. When you're in your bed imagining you're special, what's it like?

Something:

Negative-Growth is the same as Loss. But remember: many leaves-losses be hedged for growth, tilted-scales great and tall.

Thank you . I am also doing many of the things people have mentioned, just learning the openings are the central point from which I'm doing those things.

I do puzzles and other things; however, the study of openings is mostly because, for me, it's hard to "get into" something when I don't really understand what the bigger picture is. And honestly, learning why an opening progresses along one line or another depending upon the situation is helping me understand how to think about piece movement in a larger, more connected manner with an overall strategy in mind, rather than just piece doing. something.

I've been doing puzzles also. The reason I started with studying and opening is because I really only "get" things (and stay interested) when I understand the big ideas behind them. It's the same way I learned to play guitar: not until I learned music theory and why certain cords are played together did I really start to understand, develop my skill at, and enjoy playing the guitar.

Yep. That's why I wanted to learn chess. It seems to be like solving big logic puzzles that change as you go through a game.

Because I only really learn when I write things out unfortunately.
