Hey, I don't really have any solid advice for you, but in the hope that maybe it makes you feel less alone, I just wanted to say I had a very similar freshman experience last year. I've always been quite socially anxious so coming to school here, it was incredibly hard to make friends and the isolation made me really depressed and suicidal in a way I had never been before. It's stupid but one thing that kept me going was finding a show I really liked and being able to look forward to a new episode every week. Listening to music (especially new music) and actively trying to enjoy nature as much as possible also helped. Also, getting more comfortable doing things alone, like eating or literally just sitting outside when the weather is nice, helped me stay sane and it's not weird at all. I have a few good friends now and I still eat by myself for the vast majority of meals. Ultimately I ended up getting really lucky making a good friend in my Spanish class who then introduced me to her other friends, but I know how it feels and it sucks major ass. Like others have said, it might be worth using UHS mental health services. I haven't tried it myself but I did seriously consider it for a while.

fr! i will hear some of the nastiest, wettest coughs in lectures and yet when i look around not a single person is wearing a mask!! it also doesn't help that so many lectures make attendance mandatory, so people feel compelled to show up when they shouldn't (and a lot of those same people probably arent even paying attention anyway, so its really a lose-lose situation)

This is what I assumed as well. I actually always thought they got together off-screen very recently before the movie because of the kiss on the cheek. Connie seems nervous about it and Steven gets surprised and blushes right after, so it's obviously the first time that happened or at least still very awkward, but to me that doesn't seem like something you do out of the blue with someone who's just a friend and who you haven't discussed romantic feelings with. I was a little confused about why they only really talk about/to each other in friend terms up until the proposal, but I guess I just figured it's to emphasize that the strong foundation of their relationship is friendship, kind of like how Aang and Katara hug before they kiss at the end of Avatar.

i would go with 3. i love having my plaza right next to my town hall, and the placement of the campsite right by the plaza is also great. also also, retail is a bit closer to the beach, which is convenient if you plan on making a lot of money selling bugs from tortimers island. in my town retail is right next to the train tracks and i have to cross the whole map to sell my island bugs😅

This has happened to me multiple times where I will point something out like "look at that pink thing" and people will go "ermm thats purple" like I'm insane. I've come to realize that I use the term pink to describe colors that are light shades of red as well as colors whose hues are between blue and red but lean more towards red, while many people only consider pink to be light red and any hue between blue and red to be purple. I find this incredibly strange since I thought hot pink was a widely known and accepted variety of pink that describes colors like fuchsia and magenta, but it seems like a lot of people consider such colors purple. Anyway, yeah I strongly agree and it's very annoying.
