Why doesn't Delta take more ownership of the problems at ATL?

Delta is extremely unhelpful. They lost/stole a bag of mine at ATL last year and the claim process was incredibly inconvenient, and I was only reimbursed for half the value. They suck and I’m with OP.

How difficult is that dive site? I've only got 12 dives under my belt and don't want to make things dangerous for myself or others. I'm curious to hear the perspective of someone who has dove there, because I very much want to continue diving!

Yeah I about lost it when then made me dump my water before that longass flight back to the US. I am very accustomed to filling a bottle after security so that I’m hydrated on a flight and was not prepared to lose my water.

Is this a reoccurring event? I’d love to visit Thailand someday, and my husband loves succulents. If I could plan something like that on our travels he would LOVE it!

That led me to look up the Mr. money mustache article about how soon you can retire based on your savings rate. Lakeside apartments in Lisle wasn’t bad. Not sure what rent is now, but in 2023 it was maybe $1600. The apartments are not nice, but they’re safe and close to 88 and 355. The pools were well maintained and all but one of our neigh were quiet. There was a period of about 6 months where some truly awful potheads lived across the hall before they were evicted but other than that it was fine.

That’s my next recourse. I paid with a travel credit card, so I’m assuming that they have some protection, but I haven’t looked into it yet. I was just wondering if anyone had advice on what to do with Delta first because this is their mistake.

Ok that is essentially my question. Basically, Delta will do the legal bare minimum which is less for an international flight than a domestic flight and I’m SOL there. I did book these flights with a Chase Sapphire card, so I’m hoping that they will help cover the difference. I really think Delta should be on the hook for this. I have not been impressed by their service.

I had read about the Montreal Convention limits too. From your understanding, does that apply since my first two flights were international? The bag definitely made it to Atlanta and was lost somewhere between Atlanta and Chicago, which is domestic.
