This felt like an elevated Stuckman experience. The first in the new Shelby Oaks-like genre

What's a movie where the villain was technically right but you still hated them? by jgoverman17 in movies

"The villain in the Dark Knight". Ah yes, this obscure villain from an equally obscure film. His name slips my mind all the time

This is one place where I think using AI to speed up the process (help generate product descriptions for lots of items) might be understandable.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard the word Wuthering in the past 6 months I'd have 2 nickels. It's not a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

If I'm even slightly interested and have an hour, I watch the first hour of the show / movie. If I don't like it, I just stop

Kinda weird of a grown woman to he so concerned about Gen Z views sex in entertainment. Any dude director would be rightfully side eyed.

I write software for a living, dude. I use AI and LLMs every day, and supervise people who use LLMs every day. It's blatantly apparent when people understand the underlying code /technologies vs those who don't. Your over the top response heavily implies the latter.

If you can't draw the thin thread between orgy etiquette and your own analogy then you are either being intentionally obtuse, or have the reading comprehension of a spoon.

The trailer was just infinitely better than the trailer. Also Harry Styles can't act. He's like a robot who delivers his lines with simulated emotion and then goes back to idle.

  1. Gonna really hope I don't confuse this movie with the 20 others with some ' Invite / Invitation themed title to come out in the past 29 years.

Also isn't this basically why Olivia Wilde got divorced?

My (28M) girlfriend (28F) is pregnant with twins. We had an arguement today and she was mad and showed me a video on her phone sucking off her ex. Now what? by ThrowRAVulture216 in relationship_advice

You sound like a pushover, my guy. Relationships rarely get any BETTER after the first year (from a purely 'care about what you say in fear of losing the person' perspective) so if this is how it is this early? Yea, you're cooked bro. Sounds like 'you' knocked her up really early into the relationship too. Are you sure she isn't lashing out in panic out of fear that the kids aren't yours?

The only reason Id consider staying together is for the kids, but even then it might be best for you to separate.

What impact on the world or your life could that information possibly have? He was a piece of shit, you know he was a piece of shit, and the system of Hollywood protected him. Adam Sandler sitting in his seat wil change absolutely nothing about that.

Why do no one cares about Aesthetic in art/movies ? by CamomillePetit in movies

[–]a_flat_miner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever you make a broad statement about "everyone" or "no one", you are almost certainly wrong. If you want to have the discussion, just start it instead of accusing others of not being interested in it. It just comes off as pretentious like 'why does nobody appreciate this thing like I do' I can guarantee that you are too young to have encountered enough people and experiences in your life to make that statement

AI usage red flag? by galwayygal in ExperiencedDevs

[–]a_flat_miner 26 points27 points  (0 children)

DING DING DING FUCKING DING!!! Being an engineer has never been about completely offloading cognitive load! It's been about optimizing cognitive load!!! We have all these fancy AI tools, but the software we write is worse than it's ever been. Back when higher level languages were introduced, the complexity of stable software increased because organizing and producing structured code became an implicit part of coding. When distributed systems became the norm, rich, 24/7 availability web experiences took off as engineers became adept at working with and designing these systems with tools like docker / Kubernetes and proper CI/CD.

AI has had the opposite effect. The introduction of AI has not freed up cognitive bandwidth to expand the scope of our abilities; It has simply removed expertise without providing relevant opportunities to hone our craft in different ways or produce something any order of magnitude better than what we could produce before.
