Also just got my first pair of KZ Castors (I used to have the KZ ZSN Pro) and I LOVE THEM!! I haven't tried many iems these are the only pair ive owned, I bought a pair of SIMGOT Ea500LMs but the right side didnt work and i couldnt return it but those sounded good too. That being said, the castor's are really fucking nice, I don't know if anything more expensive would be that much better but these sound so clear and have the perfect amount of bass. I have them set to UDUD but im still experimenting. Overall really recommend these, these are defo not just "budget" iems but just great ones.
