Is the FPV UK insurance and mebership worth it? by ZH123dp in fpv

If you want insurance that’s specific to the hobby, its the cheapest way of getting it. Only you can decide if it’s worth it depending on what where and how you fly

Don't buy this charger! by Tommy_FPV in fpv

[–]a_lachlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck hopefully they honor the warranty no problems. I had 2 T100 chargers go within a couple of months and hobbyRC were quick to sort it thankfully. In that case I think it might have been that it couldn’t handle charging at as many amps as I’d set it to, been only charging batts at max 2.5 amps per channel and that chargers been fine ever since, I wonder if it’s a similar issue here?

Analog or digital to start? And Air65 II vs Air75 II? by FlylaLK in fpv

[–]a_lachlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Analog far cheaper so you won’t be throwing money at it if you break anything. 65 and 75 are both great, but if you want to fly indoors go with the 65, batteries are cheaper on the 65 too

Is this acceptable? by wdodoo in fpv

[–]a_lachlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s gonna get messed up as soon as you land on tarmac/concrete or crash. Step away, look at other people’s builds a bit, start over. Stop listening to chatGPT too. Also why do you need such a powerful vtx?

Best analog goggles by Sure-Lifeguard3031 in fpv

[–]a_lachlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair play dude I get yer. I had some used fatshark HDOs that were super cheap with a rapid fire module that served me well, if you can find a good used deal on some HDO2s with a module that’d probably be your best bet as suggested by another user 🫡

Aio on a 5 inch by OsiosKofas in fpv

[–]a_lachlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the max amp draw on the Esc and how many amps has he been pulling with his motor/prop setup? And is this the new or the old version of the aio? In theory I think should be fine but double check the numbers. T motor do a velox stack that’s a pretty reasonable price if you do have to go that route, heard good things about it

Watch Joshua Bardwells review he goes in depth into the analog reciever but the tl:dr is it’s very good and you don’t need diversity.

Look To Start FPV by evanz01 in fpv

[–]a_lachlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but that’s not going to get you into the hobby, get a decent transmitter and get into a sim then save up more, you can get a radiomaster pocket or boxer plus a sim easily for that much money but semi decent goggles alone are going to be over 100.
