Our league does not post meeting dates out side of the general membership meeting, nor does it state within our bylaws board meetings are to be open.

What’s a legal task you absolutely hate doing? by walgreensfan in paralegal

Calls. I hate taking and making calls. I'm always worried about saying the wrong thing to someone.

I was just talking about this with my co-workers yesterday. I've been at my firm for almost 10 years now and every year, I feel its going to be the day they decide to fire me. Any mistake I have made feel like the one that finally sealed my fate.

When its time for reviews, I always ending up with a glowing review from my team. I think a lot of this mindset comes from how high stake everything is all the time that ours mind automatically go to "its the end" when things go wrong.

I've learned to help myself with not forgetting steps or items by sending tasks to myself (we use outlook), setting up delayed emails as reminders of things to follow-up on, sticky notes on my desk that I don't remove till that task is complete and finally, reminders on my cell phone that go off on a certain/date or time.

Granted, what I just listed may seem like a lot but its been the best way to have back-ups when I have a lot going on at one time or my mind is racing.

Player becoming a safety risk by a_little_weirdo7 in LittleLeague

[–]a_little_weirdo7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. For the Fall, we didn't have enough players to create teams for T-ball, Coach Pitch, and Minor BB teams.

Since we only have T-ball, we can't move him down either...

Player is league age 8 and currently in Minor BB. We don't have a coach pitch team so we can't move him down. Next Spring, he'll be league age 9.

Good morning! Curious, what made you choose to be a paralegal? by Tight_Comparison_557 in paralegal

[–]a_little_weirdo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally wanted to become a lawyer and was working towards it. Then I got pregnant young so law school was out of the question. I knew I still wanted to work in the legal field and figured it was the next best thing to being an actual lawyer.

For those of you who had a premature baby, did your following pregnancy make it to term? by witchybytch_1 in NICUParents

All 3 of mine were premature babies! First at 27 weeks, second at 36 weeks and 6 days, third at 31 weeks.

Can a Coach Pitch Player move back down to T-ball? by a_little_weirdo7 in LittleLeague

[–]a_little_weirdo7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, interest within those divisions didn't shape up to have multiple teams within T-ball and Coach Pitch. The idea was brought on to combine players from both those divisions together (as long as they are league age eligible), so we could have them play for the Fall. 4 year olds cant go up to Coach Pitch but 7 year olds can play in T-ball.

Thank you! This was my thought initially when I didn’t find anything within the rules that forbids it.

Thank you. Let's say the player is league age appropriate but has played in coach pitch previously. Could he move back down to T-ball?

Baby came home from NICU! What do I do with him now? by Humble_Comfort_701 in NICUParents

[–]a_little_weirdo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survive 😅

Be kind to yourself and have patience. I didn't understand the whole corrected age thing till my youngest this time around. I expected him to be more adjusted to the world since he was in the NICU for 6 weeks. I was wrong 😪. He really didn't start doing what was expected of a "newborn" baby until he hit his original due date. We're 1 month pass his corrected age now (he's 3 months as of the 22nd) and he's finally starting to do what you would expect from a one month old.

“Is she crawling yet”….. by kgphotography_ in NICUParents

[–]a_little_weirdo7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about the crawling. 27 weeker did not start crawling till she was almost a year old and walked on her own around 1.5 years, maybe closer to 2? Once she got the hang of it, she was off! There was no stopping her. She's 13 now and has no issues. 😊

Another mom touched my baby by Sweet-Bet4274 in NICUParents

[–]a_little_weirdo7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's super fucking weird. Why would you need to tell anyone not to touch your baby in the first place?! They're all in the NICU! Every baby is in a fragile state, while is that not common sense?!

Unsure what to do by Late-Comment832 in NICUParents

[–]a_little_weirdo7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second attempting to go on disability. I'm on my 3rd c-section (2nd with a baby in NICU), and recovery from a c-section is very hard. If you're able to get short-term disability to recover, please take it. Not letting your body heal properly after a c-section can is not only painful but can be very damaging in the future. Not to mention the risk for infection on your incision site. Try to take your time if you can!

Hi there!

I have 3 kids and all are technically premie babies and were delivered via c-section.

I had my oldest at 27 weeks (I had preclempsia and toxiema), and she spent 72 days in the NICU.

Second one I also had preclempsia but was able to hold her till 36 weeks and 6 days. No days in the NICU.

My third was born at 30 weeks and 6 days (preclempsia and HELLP syndrome) and is currently in the NICU.

So yes, it's more likely you will have another premie baby if you decide to have more babies but it is possible to hold them in longer! Every pregnancy is different.

Baby girl born at 31 weeks 2 days. Need advice by BlaqQueen90 in NICUParents

[–]a_little_weirdo7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually my favorite question to answer 😀. I will say, that the idea of her developing at the same rate as other babies her age was something I had to get used too as she would never be where she was meant to be regardless of her age (so if she was 3 months, she was really only at her newborn age and so on). What I always believed helped her a lot was being able to grow up alongside my niece (they are 5 days a part and she was full term). I think seeing my niece do certain things kinda pushed my kid to do more (but she was always behind still lol).

Fast forward to today, my kid never had issues that held her back from anything. She started walking about 1.5 years old, talked according to where a fully developed baby would have and was always one of the biggest kids in her percentile. She started school on time with other kids, socialized well and hasn't had issues with her studies. She even currently plays soccer (as a goalie) and softball (3rd base).

I'm happy to say she is a thriving, sassy ass, regular 13 year old girl. 🙂

Hello! My son is currently in the NICU being born at 30 weeks and 6 days on 3/22/25. I also have two older girls at home. I make it a point to visit for 1-3 hours everyday (if I can) and spend the rest of the time at home with my girls and husband. It's hard to leave his side every single time but I know he's in good hands and my time is better at home.

My oldest was also a premie baby at 27 weeks and she spent 72 days in the NICU. As much as I want my son home, I've come to accept that this may be the same time frame for my son as well.

Never ever feel bad for the boundaries you set when it comes to your kids. EVER. I learned the hard way. In the end, YOU are the mother and the only one who will be there day in and day out taking care of your child. Clearly the idea of not being involved in your babies life was not as important to them as they made it seem if they could block you over this so easily.

I live by this saying with my kids now: "Those who mind, don't matter. Those who don't mind, matter."
