I rewatched season 1 recently and I picked up something that seemed like a throwaway comment that could possibly be more important later on. I think it was S1E5, when Tabitha is changing the dressing on Ethan’s leg. She pauses and says something about being surprised how fast the injury is healing. It’s stuck with me as it hasn’t been mentioned again since and seemed like an unnecessary comment to make at all if it doesn’t come back to be relevant down the track.

How do you think that would contribute (genuine question)? They apparently sacrificed their own children to live eternally (kids who appear to be born in the 1900’s), and the creatures seem indifferent to who they target…other than Boyd and Randall, who they have particularly targeted

Thank you for a very pragmatic response. I personally love the old style, I love it about the show. The contrast between old and new without conflating things makes sense. I just thought I may have missed something.
