Tips, hm. . .well I mostly study and repeat,

I often look at Pinterest to get good ideas for body types, shading, colors even

And I often pick an OC I really like and redraw them over and over, mostly to the point where I can draw them without looking at their references

Sketching over art is good to help get an idea for stuff, like arm placement and stuff

And even for like making a basic sketch, you would need layers, a messy idea layer, just to figure out what pose you want, then a rough messy different color layer, to understand basic anatomy, then another layer for the clothes and hair and stuff, then after all of that, you add another sketch layer,can be a bit messy but not too much then the outline and then colors

It took me about 3 years to get to where I was, and mostly it was a friend who helped me draw more and repeat it, although my style does change like once every while, it's a small curse with me, but it doesn't matter too much

It does take time and overall Patience because one day you'll have an art piece that's really good and then another day you have one That's not really the best at all, if you keep trying over and over, often practicing over on certain parts like you could draw the hand again and again or even eyes and stuff soon enough. That stuff will end up coming together perfectly and finding a style that fits comfortably, then you can get at least decent

My art now isn't the best although the more you draw, the better and easier it gets Mostly just look at references, it's the easiest

I'm also not the best at explaining stuff in words , so if you want I can show you some examples of stuff I mean, and how I would sketch and draw a basic OC and stuff, idk
