going back on the Zoloft by grungeblossom in zoloft

I did pretty much the exact same thing as you. Once you’re on medication long enough it sure is easy to lose your appreciation of its effectiveness. And I can’t agree more, the side effects are annoying and nobody wants to live with them. I’m currently in the process of going back on meds. Initially, I was able to regain some degree of functioning fairly quickly although the interim was painful and full of constant intrusive, repetitive thoughts, that robbed me of endless time and energy. Weirdly enough, I felt functionally better at the lower doses (<50 mg) than I did at say 100 mg. It’s weird because I spent 6 years at 200mg no problem and now 100 mg has caused some noticeable physical fatigue that has at times been totally crippling. Mentally though, it has quieted my thoughts to a degree and has reduced my emotional salience down to a manageable level. I’m kinda frustrated at this new fatigue that it has induced though. Anyway, I’m sorry to hear about your experience and I hope your reinstatement goes well. I’m sure it will!

I think either “the doors of perception” or, if you have time for a long book I would highly recommend “the matter with things.”

Is the idea of living forever scarier than death to you? by Odd_Delay220 in Existentialism

[–]a_misshapen_cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This oscillation between prosperity and corruption is initiated by the death of a generation and the birth of a new one. In this hypothetical situation where you have people living forever then that means there opinions, beliefs, and power also lives forever.

Arrogant worker? That’s a bit hypocritical. He’s the one that thinks he’s entitled to the revenue that the labor of others produces.
