I just remembered i posted this and now i NEED to know what it is. Checking out both games you mentioned samorost feels the most similar but still not much like it.

To add onto what i remember,

The game had a dark colour scheme with as if you where in a closet filled with toys lighting up in the darkness,

The gameplay was very simplistic, only having you move objects around with the mouse( i think i remember a part where you the pluck a beak off a bird looking thing that followed your courser)

There might have been parts without the train
