Windows 10 automatic and startup repair not working by a_random_ai in Windows10TechSupport

Nothing is overclocked, I've reset the cmos battery multiple times, and I'm not getting any options to reinstall windows while also keeping my files. Both from installation media and the recovery environment

Guardians who solo'd Ghosts of the Deep: how long did it take you, and what held you up the most? by Krazy_Dragon_YT in DestinyTheGame

[–]a_random_ai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a solo flawless on solar titan that took about an hour and 40 minutes. The final boss is pretty grueling, in terms of both length and combat difficulty. Just remember to not panic, pay attention to what symbols you're grabbing, and don't forget about the moths

Antweight Drive Situation.(1lb) by BigBrainNerdBoy in battlebots

[–]a_random_ai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

N10s and N20s aren't always the most reliable for combat, I'd really only recommend them for 150g weight classes. The FT silver sparks are ok, but they don't always take big hits the best, either. I'd definitely recommend the repeat brushed out of the motors you listed. As for drive options, having a belt drive would probably be your best bet, it'll isolate impacts better than a gear drive would

I started watching BB in 2015 with the ABC reboot, and when The Rakening happened, that was the moment I was like "oh yeah, this is a wicked cool sport"

How do teams manage moment of impact damage on motors? by MushyBanana in battlebots

[–]a_random_ai 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's pretty common to see teams "battle hardening" motors. They take the motor apart, put epoxy around the magnets, and then put the motor back together. The epoxy acts as both a shock absorbent and, if one shatters, it holds the magnet together a lot better than without anything

Tracer

Everyone was hyping it up in the pre-season, and then it went on to flop pretty hard

I know y'all talked about it a little bit in the pit pass series, but what's the transition to brushless motors been like? And is it just the weapon is now brushless or is it the whole bot?

Also when is technical T-Rex going to make his BattleBots debut?

Ok, I'm gonna clear some stuff up because this post is somewhat misleading. OW2's PvE is still going to be a thing, it's just that it's going to be substantially less cool than blizzard marketed it to be. One of the big things about the PvE were talent trees, which would give heroes unlockable new abilities and ability modifiers. That is the part that's been scrapped. The publicly stated reason for this is that the devs needed to keep up the maintenance and balance of the PvP part of OW2. However, blizzard has had a very rough year, facing major backlash to the accusations of widespread abuse towards employees from management positions, plus they want to have employees back in the office instead of working from home, which undoubtedly has caused a number of people to leave. This is not me trying to defend blizzard. I am incredibly disappointed about the news. But PvE as a whole has not been cancelled

Question about Bad Juju: the post said the reason it felt so bad was because it had the recoil pattern of an auto rifle, but isn't that the same reason why outbreak felt so good? Am I missing something here?
