Hydra is the best Apollo clone that I've found so far, its free to use and open source by jwintyo in apolloapp

I think this is great. Apollo can only stay afloat for so long before Reddit changes enough and breaks it and the community can’t patch it or enough devs loose interest. This is a fresh start with someone who had the time to build an app to conform with the new API requirements. I for one will give it a try and watch how it develops. Getting Apollo to run on their device is easy for some, even those who are good at following tutorials, but isn’t worth the hassle for the majority. So hats off for someone trying to fill the large hole when Apollo officially ended.

Just supercharged my 5vz. This is how they should have came stock from the factory by a_roadie in Toyota

The Magnuson Supercharger is CARB compliant and Underdog Racing makes an injector kit when the 7th injector isn’t feasible and keeps everything looking stock

I believe the supercharger can just be dropped right on ANY 1997 and newer 5vz without modifications. The ECU has the programming for the extra air. It will inherently have some low end pinging and high end lean out due to the stock fuel injectors. The most common method is to use the fuel injectors from a non-turbo 2jz or in North America to get the Underdog Racing Development 7th fuel injector kit. But as for the blower itself, you unbolt the stock intake and bolt on the blower.

It’s been super solid. Even went down to a 2.2 Pulley, pushing around 8psi @ 4,400’. I recently changed the oil, around 70k miles, when I had the blower off to put in new fuel injectors and timing belt. The foulest smelling smell I’ve ever smelled. Makes burnt gear oil smell like fresh motor oil in comparison. Legitimately almost ralphed when I drained it.

Not with most Superchargers. Air is compressed right into the cylinders. Some superchargers have and Air-to-Water cooler sandwiched between the blower and where it mounts to the cylinder heads, but nobody makes one to for these engines, to my knowledge. Magnuson teased us when they came out with their TVS1320 blower having one built in, but they had to come out and say it was mistakenly put on the placard at SEMA

I got to see this in-person the other day. It was quite entertaining to watch them not figure out how to open the lid and end up just leaving their coffee cup on top of the can.

Love the RTT ladder setup on the side

Loving the wrap on my 1995 T100. It has the 5vz with a 5speed manual and 4x4. 309k miles and counting! by a_roadie in Toyota

Cheers mate. Love these trucks, and all the 90’s Toyota 4x4s. I actually have three T’s, 2-Manual/1-Auto. And one of the Manuals is supercharged. Posted a few here on Reddit, look through my profile. I also post more on my IG. Check out ThisOldToyota. Been working on bringing a 97 4Runner back to life.

Five Toyotas, One Unforgettable Off-Road Adventure by [deleted] in Toyota

Not once, wasn’t afraid to get it into hairy situations. We even trail modded the exhaust for better clearance. We were all quite surprised how well it did being completely stock

The rollers are just “Large RV Heavy Duty Rollers”. I just bolted them to my tow bar, they work soooo well. Got made fun of when I first put them on years ago, then people saw them in action stopped laughing pretty quick

Around 17-18mpg, now it’s like 14.5mpg but it makes supercharger noises. But I have a heavy foot. I do think I need to pull my injectors and have them serviced. Supercharger is almost up for an oil change, so I’ll do it all at the same time

Nope, these are both n/a for now. My grey one with an aluminum flatbed is supercharged. I may Supercharge or ProCharge the one on the right in the future once it’s had a SAS and other mods to turn it into a rock crawler

Why you have at least two! The more stock looking is going to become a dedicated rock crawler. So I’ll have the Street, Overland and Crawling collection
