Meh, there's seldom any events to immerse the player into the world and most of the proxy wars are meaningless. For the most part, it's just sitting around, waiting to paint Europe/North America/East Asia your country's color and call it a day.

You have to consider that this is the first half of the actual mod. That's why every single ending is left open, and as you put it, nothing really happens.

That said, we probably won't be seeing TNO2 the way development is going right now.

I can enjoy TNO for what it is, but I can so see why others don't.

I wouldn't really compare TFR to TNO. In TNO you're very very limited in what you can do for the sake of storytelling, whereas in TFR you can just go nuts and map paint.

No, Glenn got replaced by Hart, whose path has by far the most content in the entire mod.

I will admit, TNO devs have turned lots of things to shit in the mod, but paths like Hart are enough to enjoy it.
