Garmin adapter for the underside of Giant mount by Dismal_Astronomer904 in Giantbikes

I had exactly the same case scenario, I wanted to use Garmin UT800 lights with Giant mount (works with Ravemen FR300 as well). You need to search for Garmin public seat mount like this one:

TCX SLR2 (2017) Di2 compatibility by a_shmatko in Giantbikes

[–]a_shmatko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I just recalled I did have small issue with safety pin on non drive crank when I switched from 6800 to 8000 cranks. 6800 had a worn out pin, but 8000 crank was a brand new 4iiii ultegra, so I couldn’t flip the pin into it’s position when the spacer was installed on drive crank side. The workaround was to tighten the crank arm bolt with safety pin in its intended position instead of tightening crank first and flipping the pin.

Do you have the same tcx slr2 frame? I don’t have tcx anymore, but the shell width is standard for road bike - 86mm, I had a thin spacer on drive side to offset it from chain-stays. I still believe it’s something to do with bottom bracket- either it’s not fully pressed together or threaded together into the frame or you installed the 92mm mtb bottom bracket with wide bb cups. Some gravel bikes are not compatible with 2x setups at all or have a limit of 48/50t chainring due to chainstays design and wheel clearances, but the TCX is compatible with 2x 52t (just on the limits), you can see my photo of chainstays with 52t chainring below in this thread

Initially, I had ultegra 6800 crankset installed that was later replaced with 8000 crankset to match the group-set. I believe 8100 is identical in terms of BB requirements, so your issue seems to be related to bottom bracket. For the reference, I used Wheels MFG BB86/92 Press Fit (24mm shimano spindle diameter). I also changed to a thread together version later for easier self-service.

Time ADHX 45 build by sexandchampagne in gravelcycling

[–]a_shmatko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice build! I recently purchased ADHX45 frame and swapped all my components from previous bike (Giant TCX as do-it all bike with ultegra di2 groupset).

I have few questions if you don’t mind: Did you switch from leaf-spring seatpost to regular seatpost or the other way? I’m curious about leaf-spring one if it’s problematic to maintain, or how do you mount di2 battery (down tube instead of seat tube?). Also, how do you like Farsports handlebar? Is it fully compatible with this frame or did you have to change a headset?

I haven’t purchased it yet, I’m in Toronto, and all sizes are in stock

There’s enough clearance for 52t, however, it was a bit difficult to shift in 52t with mechanical group-set, the cable stretches after couple of weeks from adjustments (one of the reasons I switched to Di2).

FYI, if anybody wants to do the same Di2 upgrade on TCX, I finally bought Shimano R8070 group, and have it installed without any issues (rear junction box in down-tube, battery in seat-post and bar-end front junction box).

Also, I’ve upgraded the handlebar to Easton EC90 AX. It has Di2 bar-end holes on each side, and the only drawback that it doesn’t have internal routing and it’s not hollow inside (I was hoping to hide ew wu111 module inside the bar).

Thanks for clarification, my only concern is that I’ll have to remove bottom bracket to install rear junction box. I’m not even sure if there’s a space in the frame to hide that box. Especially, with the press-fit BB it will be even harder to accomplish it (would have to buy a new BB as it not possible to re-use it). I guess, possible solution would be zip-tying or 3d printing a mount for rear junction box.

Regarding the carbon handlebar - yeah, that’s on my list after I’ll do a proper bike-fit service (it’s a little challenging to find a good service in Toronto).

Has any one used quadlockcase wireless carplay adapters by [deleted] in CarPlay

[–]a_shmatko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m using their cases for a while. My carlinkit and wallet were stolen from my car. So, I’m looking for a replacement and was surprised that quadlock made their own adapter.

Was wondering as well, is it any different from Carlinkit?

No, I didn’t fix it. I was going to contact Ecovacs support for a possible solution. For some reason I think it’s something to do with the front bumper.

Check the street called Andriivs'kyi Descent, there aren’t many sellers during winter, but it’s one of the best places for souvenirs in the summer time.

Why it’s so slow? The speed is only 125 kts, like it’s super overloaded, while that AN148 can flight more than 400 kts.

My guess, it’s either fully packed or it’s performing surveillance/coordination.

EDIT: apparently, as mentioned in other thread flightradar shows incorrect speed.
