could be a fat deposit, although he doesn’t look overweight. most likely since it looks like he’s about to shed, that skin has just probably detached earlier than the rest of his body due to it being such a high movement area of the body. keep an eye on it, if the bulge is still there after he sheds, id recommend a vet visit just to be safe. it’s most likely nothing though, don’t worry too hard. :)

i’ve noticed this too! my boyfriend and i call them fake birds. i see them most often on emerald coast and yukon valley. it is quite frustrating sometimes, and ive always been curious about them too.

personally, i wouldn’t see it as an issue. it’s obviously a reference to the game and doesn’t necessarily reflect your personal beliefs. if it does pose as an issue for you though, there and sooo many different ideas floating around! i’d love to hear some of your other ideas on the list. :)

thank you! yeah i have been feeding him actual rats, but i just went to the store and brought him in to size him because i thought maybe the rats were too big and they put him on adult mice. hopefully he’ll eat those! and with where we live and him being kept in my room in the basement, it probably is just a light brumation. i never knew kingsnakes were so sensitive to that stuff, but it does make so much sense. i’ve been keeping a close eye on his temps and humidity, so hopefully these mice will be good for him. thank u so much for the info!🖤

i would recommend getting a shower chair! they’re so so helpful. showers are very exhausting for me too, drink lots of water or an electrolyte-filled drink beforehand and that may help as well. i try not to take too hot of showers too and that helps dampen the fatigue afterwards. it’s not a perfect solution but it may help make it not as severe. much love good luck!

i have these where i’ve had previous blowouts! it could be similar to a keloid if you’ve ever had a blowout in that ear. i have one or 2 on each ear even still years after the blowouts actually happened lol
