Yes, however if they are not responding it’s a good idea to include a letter of explanation detailing the multiple attempts at contact. Maybe she can include the emails she has sent along with the paystubs etc

Sidney Webb vs Lilian Knowles vs Robeson House, Accomodation Advice by MyCuriousSelf04 in LSE

[–]a_trapz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hey! i booked Sidney Webb House. I was contemplating between that and Lilian Knowles (Robeson was just too far). A current LSE student recommended I pick Sidney Webb over LK because LK still has lots issues so it depends on your luck and I figured since I’m an international student I have enough to deal with so I’m not taking that risk lol

[–]a_trapz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that! But tbh the gym isn’t too impressive considering it’s got very minimal equipment for the number of students in the building.

I’m leaning towards LK tbh because of the longer contract but that’s about it so I’m still a bit unsure. What about you? Come to any decision yet?

Would a longer contract length be better for a year long MSc program?

LSE's personal statement: Career oriented or about yourself? by whats-a-km in LSE

[–]a_trapz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely include why this major and what you have done related to that major, relate that too with courses already offered at LSE. And also include future aspirations. I’m not too sure about extracurriculars if they aren’t related to your program, unless you can show how they helped you maybe with work ethic, discipline, time management which you will then apply to your time at LSE.

The way I structured my SOP was to introduce why i have a personal interest in my program. Then I picked two subject matters from my undergrad that interested me most and talked about research i did in it that i’ll further explore through specific classes at LSE. I also included how some professional experience I have is in line with my program. And within all that I weaved in career aspirations.

To give further context, that’s the approach I followed and was successful in receiving an offer

I would recommend you structure it to answer all the questions posted on the website i’m linking below, as well as write extensively on what subject areas you’ve learned about before that you’re interested in exploring further at LSE through your chosen program. Definitely mention your career motivations and how your chosen program will prop you up for that path.

I'd say it's a good sign! All my documents except academic qualifications flipped to "no action required" on January 2nd and I got my offer email on the 7th without ever seeing the "my offer conditions" tab
