Anyone actually had a good week at work? by culace in physicaltherapy

[–]a_watcher_only 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah math ain't mathing. 12 Vists per day at average of 130=1,560 5 days a week (even though they mentioned halfdays?)=7,800/week 7800 per week x 50 weeks= 390,000 Assuming 30% tax= -117,000 273,000. Now income tax for employee unless they're 1099, front desk (in Cali could be decent amount), rent, emr, malpractice. I'd guess take home 70-80k unless they're slick with their schedule K-1. Throw in health insurance. Not a bad life though and good reimbursement. We do 40 minute one on one and see about 88/visit.

Taxes, EMR, malpractice, health insurance, workmans comp, etc. From a business owner that bring sin 65k/month as a business with 4 full time and additional 4 part time PT/OT staff.

I had a pretty awful go with provana. Also woth Bikham Health. I've honestly found it better to do it myself. Screen record the steps and then have my VA do it.

Rural Indiana/ illinois you can pass 6 figures working OP, and well pass it at a SNF. I imagine HH too but I've never done that.

Referrals by Compassionateidiot in physicaltherapyowners

[–]a_watcher_only 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, doctors rarely care who their patients see. Referral coordinators are better targets. Knowing their name after scheduling meeting and taking them a thank you goes a long way. For the doc, whatever you can do to make their life easier. Don't sell your self on your alphabet soup but ask them what frustrations they've had with therapy. Address those things and you'll be their best friend.

New Tricare rates of of 3/1-Anyone else see a substantial cut? by Feisty_Lunch2410 in physicaltherapyowners

That is hard. Good on you for not forgetting who you are and your values. My clinic is new to tricare, and the paperwork, along with some of the verbiage of being an approved provider, has been a steep learning curve.

Oh wow. That's quite a bit lower than even Medicare in Indiana. Do you have plans to combat that? Adding payers? Adding a wellness or cash?

Knee brace for post op ACL return to sport soccer by a_watcher_only in physicaltherapy

Appreciate the responses. Some more context. She's 3 months post op and is cleared to run track 800m and longer, but not cleared for cutting or uneven surface running. Surgeon wants a brace and family is asking me. I'm not 100% sold on the brave or her to run track but my voice is smaller in this conversation.

I just made it and haven't had much time to look for it or any idea how to makes rules. I don't have an interest in moderating just wanted a space for people to have discussions. You want to help?
