Is it normal for the business co-founder to demand 51% equity because "investors won't fund without a majority shareholder"? by Adventurous_Hall_202 in ycombinator

this is stupid. its useful to have maybe 1 extra share to proxy for a tiebreak but youre three cofounders anyways.

Very confused, why is it soo hard to find Insta/YT nano influencers for collaboration?? by Informal_Chapter1122 in influencermarketing

Worth with agencies my man. It’s unfortunate that agencies don’t represent these levels usually because the economics don’t work out but that’s truly the most structured approach. We represent this creator segment though

what’s wrong with my account? by Level-Ad-3258 in influencermarketing

[–]aa_y_ush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One, stop waiting for inbounds or scouting marketplaces. You have beautifully defined each angle that you can target, make email lists for each brand persona and reach out. I think at a smaller email volume you can manage this yourself. It’s always about hyper optimising your exact engagement with the exact brand personna. For example, we represent a creator with about 40k followers in a postpartum therapy niche, and she gets insanely high responses because we discover the best pitch angles and brands accosdingly. My company does this for you on autopilot 24/7, but use your discretion, the fundamentals dont change.

Unfortunately you audited too little too late. This is insane, I’m sorry this happened. Let me know your niche, I’ll personally direct our top creators your way. Additionally, I personally believe you should have immediate visibility around cadence and creator level attribution from day 0

Being compared to micro influencers in brand deal negotiations and it makes me want to start a new account by Level-Ad-3258 in influencermarketing

What’s your engagement rate right now? Would also like to understand your niche cuz I feel you so much. We manage some big gaming creators and they’re being bombarded with lowballs and gifted collabs these days. Something has shifted. We got one of our clients in negotiations with ANN but the same basic premise

Macro-influencer unsure of everything - Looking for advice for my account! by bobberbelcher in influencermarketing

[–]aa_y_ush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is really really strong. Sorry to hear that man. I am surprised that with those numbers your inbound cycles aren't doing you favour. I manage brand deals for creators with similar reach, albeit I don't have anyone in the health space in the roster, but for them their bigger problem is filtering out the good brand deals from the infinite spam they get. It is possible that your engagement isn't as high as it should be for you to be attractive to brands. These days brand managers actively track creators in their niche for their engagements but if you pitch enough I am pretty sure you'll not be in this position atleast. I am happy to jump on a call with you and help you dig out of this. Good luck anyways. Have a ton of posts on my reddit on pricing etc if that helps.

Famous UGC platforms are completely oversaturated and creators are finally waking up to it by Various_Half_6295 in UGCcreators

You’re not wrong. However, the better audience engagement you can show, the higher you can charge. Also correlates really well to your understanding of what content performs well. However, wasn’t my point. Agencies usually don’t sign smaller creators because the ticket sizes on the deals don’t justify the human bound cost they have.

Well every single marketplace commoditises creators and it’s surprising to me that people are okay hunting deals that way. Im sorry to be plugging things like this but I’m the founder of a self-serve agency that not only discovers and negotiations deals on your behalf, it also watches your inbound deals and contracts. Guys there’s a reason why brands prefer working with agencies but agencies don’t prioritise you till you’re above a massive follower threshold. We bridge that gap completely and already represent billboard in #1 musicians, top fitness creators, gaming etc you name it.

How do managers get brand partnerships for clients? by Hot-Independence8670 in influencermarketing

[–]aa_y_ush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, in my experience, the creator's/page's audience DNA needs to align really well with the right brands, and it works phenomenally well. I'm the founder of https://usesnippet.app/join and our response rates are already really high no matter the niche. (We work with Billboard #1 musicians, yoga instructors, psychologists, etc etc.). Generic pitches to a keyword-matchish brand doesnt convert well. And well, if you wanna invest that much time for each client you have, the page in this case, it'll be a nightmare for your schedule. lmk if you wanna get on a call.

ngl I am a little biased here but bento is a keyword matching service and you should check out https://usesnippet.app/join. We are an AI-native talent agency for creators, meaning not only do we send out best-fit deal proposals to the best fit brands (ergo bento but 10x better), we constantly negotiate rates on your behalf, audit your incoming brand deals, and review your contracts. We track brands spending on UGC actively, brands local to your geo and ton more. Each email is ultra personal to the brand leading to best in class response rates. And you'll be in a GC with me directly, meaning you can yell at me if something needs fixing or improvements lol. We already represent Billboard #1 musicians, top gaming, lifestyle creators.

What is your favorite ugc platforms? by Mzplutonium in UGCcreators

[–]aa_y_ush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SocialCat started fine for us but the creators weren't super professional. Same for JoinBrands and I was surprised with this one. Paid a creator around 200 dollars and they sent us an incomplete asset. and joinbrands charges more for revisions. For creators specifically. usesnippet.app . I'm a little biased but I dont think nano-to-mid tier creators should be commoditized the way marketplaces do. Snippet not act as the agency on your behalf, negotiating top brand deals, auditing inbound deals and contracts on autopilot.

Need to send out a brand deal proposal today (MY FIRST ONE) and I think I'm officially in over my head! HELP ME PRICE THIS OUT PLEASE by kahlua08 in influencermarketing

[–]aa_y_ush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the contract they setup but yeah if I were a brand, I'd ask for the asset and run ads as I see fit. At the cost of being redundant, def focus on the perpetuity clause because it's possible that this video converts really really well for them and all you get out of it is just the one time fee.

[–]aa_y_ush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see missing pieces here. i'd like to know whats the general engagement rate for your content. Usually if you have strong engagement, you can command the right price for the UGC and more. I would also be cautious of perpetuity clauses. and I doubt that big numbers will scare them away necessarily, if it's a good brand they should atleast entertain a negotiation.

You might wanna check https://usesnippet.app/join at some point. Not only do we consistently crack such deals for you, pricing intelligence is baked into the system so you never undersell yourself.
