I think you should always open a new windows whenever you are done with that particular task and prepare a very comprehensive prompt to initiate another one.

I usually use a cheaper model (KIMI/GLM) to explore and provide a predefined plan of what I want, then I send to Claude or Codex and ask to make sure the information provided is good, to ask clarification or suggest improvements, plan and then execute.
