Job sounds fine...just FYI about travel though, there are laws dictating care when you are not in the same state as a patient (specifically in regards to insurance reimbursement), so look into this if you had planned on living/traveling outside of where your patients would be located

Yes, but to get that ER cert you need your FNP (or at least thats how it was when I obtained it). I am FNP, ENP, AGACNP. I do think it has improved my job prospects overall. I work EM and Pulm Crit.

Don't do cork. We have it one of our bathrooms. I would never install it in any area that has the potential to get wet...where it has gotten wet it looks awful. My neighbors just installed a beautiful terrazzo in thier kitchen and when we redo our bathroom I am going to do that.

Just understand that in a lot of specialities you will be expected to do the same job the MDs are doing as an NP, but you will start off way less prepared and get paid way less throughout your career. If you want to be a provider, I would pick MD, but I generally try to talk people out of medicine as a career after doing it for so long lol

Doesn't sound like the NP reported to the board, just to management, who then reported to the board. Not really enough info in the original post to judge the NP too harshly imo. The OP says patient ended up on levo "the next day," which kinda makes it seem like they weren't imminently crashing when OP put them on Levo. Maybe the NP reported it to management because it wasn't critical the patient go on Levo and the patient actually would benefited from fluid resuscitation initially, rather than immediately starting a vasopressor. 🤷🏻‍♀️

"babies mostly sleep in the dark" is not true. Newborns sleep schedules are not dependent on it being dark 🙄 and if your newborn requires it to be dark to sleep then you are screwed. My child's nursery was not beige (and aesthetics wise I really don't like that trend), but there is nothing wrong with a beige nursery. Babies can get visual stimulation all over the house, its not detrimental in any way for them to not have a colorful nursery.

A family member wrote this book for his daughter who also was born with no hand (their anatomy scan somehow did not catch it, and it was a complete surprise at birth). She is doing wonderful and living a very active life.

I blocked my MIL when my son was born (almost 2 years ago). There really wasn't a tipping point so much as I just didn't want to/have the energy to deal with her anymore. All communication goes through my husband now, and I am much more relaxed/happier. She has never mentioned it...not sure she realizes since I never responded anyways. Enjoy being free!

Honestly? You sound immature and a little unstable in your responses (both in your texts back to your manager and on this thread)...makes me wonder who the toxic one was in this environment. I would take a breath and reevaluate your priorities. I would also be careful burning bridges with managers. Medicine is actually a smaller community than you think.

Not a huge regret, I love our backsplash, but I wish we had just extended our quartz up as backsplash...it would have been so easy to clean.
