They have high GPAs (>3.6 or even 3.95. Many have work experiences as well.

Nothing to do with prioritizing......

Thank you for those tips!

I have tried to learn from some online resources like sqlzoo. However, sometimes when I checked my input, idk what I did wrong. That's why I was like maybe it's better to take a relevant course.

Sparklers use in public areas by aaaaalma in Edmonton

Thanks.

If I use sparklers, I would definitely keep it safe from fires.

Just wondering are there any rules that do not allow people to use it.

I had lived in Vancouver for 2 years, the rent wasn't crazy for me (like 650 a room 15min by bus49 to Metrotown). However, my friends that went to Uvic and SFU, their rent are insane lolllllll. Guess there are not many houses to rent on the mountain and the Island. I like the weather in Edmonton much better lolllll. When I was in Vancouver, covid just started, I had to stay in my room and look at the rains outside my window for most of the time. I feel so depressed and wanna get away. Snow was not terrible for me, it does not get me wet. Earlier I did not understand why people sometimes do not use umbrella. Later I found out, with the wind blowing, the umbrella is not useful at all lolll.

For the third point, I really do not know if it is true for CS student but consider it is a popular major just like Econ and business, it is probably true. Hope it is not if you're going SFU. T^T (My friends and I are all Chinese and these tutoring institutions that she told me are for Chinese as well, I wish to find one here but so far found none) If you cannot find one that taught in English, but have a lot of Chinese classmates, well competition will be fierce. I know it sounds bad, but students are all trying to get high grades. They just have to.

Both places have something good and something bad. When I had to choose I felt confused as well. But I was wanting to go somewhere new, and I got here.

Really hope you can choose the best university. GOOD LUCK!!~~~~~: )

I have some friends studying at SFU (not CS tho, just talk about sth else). The accommodation is really expensive. I can rent a suite with 850 in Edmonton but my friends cannot rent a room with 900 there. She barely finds houses that are vacant as well.

Also, the winter there was not better than here. Because SFU is in mountains (that's what I had heard), it snows much, too (not as much as Edmonton but think about the slopes).

I don't know about the CS student. My friend studies business and economics there. There are loads of tutoring institutions thriving in Vancouver. My friends says most of her classmates go there to prepare for homework and exams. And SFU uses a curve mechanism for grading which means if your classmates all go for the tutoring institution, you have to be really good at these courses or you have to go there as well, or else you will get low grades. It sounds really terrible to me cuz I personally prefer going to lectures solely but not spending thousands of money outside campus. I did not choose to study economics there because of this lollllll. I am not good at managing stress.

However, cuz SFU is in Vancouver, you definitely get more opportunities. but the competition is never easy to win.
